Not if reports they've been dropped from Polydor are true. They left it way too long after Keisha was dropped from Sugababes to release anything. They probably could have got top 10 or 5 had they released when people still had the sympathy for Keisha but they waited 4 years when nobody cares anymore

If their debut single can only reach #50, it doesn't spell great things for their next single and a possible album

One of the funniest posts I've read on this forum.

I want to know how many people take this post seriously...

They are currently touring and if you saw them live you'd know what I mean when I say best vocals in the industry

Aren't people forgetting Euphoria Girls from this years X Factor?

THAT is talent. LM & Saturdays aren't fit to lace their boots.

They are one of, at the moment

It isn't fair to judge 2 albums over the likes of GA and Babes who have done 5-7 albums of material. They are a huge breath of fresh air though. Bringing some R&B back and no dance crap.

I know they are very talented vocally, I never dismissed their talent, I disagreed with the idea they will be proving that they are the best next year with rumours of being dropped by a record label after their debut single

I said earlier in the thread they don't compete with Sugababes vocally, in any of the line-ups

I don't think LM are a million miles off to be honest, a lot of their tracks don't do them justice. The way they sound when doing acapellas is what draws me to them personally.

Their music is great but they just lack something for me, I think as a traditional girlband The Saturdays are the best in the UK at the minute, but my personal faves would be MKS

I think you are bring unduly pessimistic about the future of MKS. The Polydor story is rumour and tells you more about that record label than the quality of MKS's music. And there's nothing to say they wouldn't be picked up by another label anyway.

I think LM v MKS would be a great rivalry.

I'm not being pessimistic, they hardly have a great chart record. The five singles they have released together reached #6, #12, #13, #30 and #50, the album they released reached #26 and took around seven years to go Gold. They are hardly going to have labels flocking around them are they? I want them to succeed but something about them obviously just doesn't click with the public

You don't sound like much of a MKS though.
Quoting the numbers ( and there's a big time gap and name change between the #30 and #50 singles) says nothing about the quality of the group's music which is after all the question.

I have said twice previously in the thread that vocally, none of the current girl groups can reach the level of Sugababes in any of their line-ups, my first comment on this subject was in answer to somebody claiming they will prove it next year. I personally don't think they will get the opportunity to which is my point.

I may not sound like a fan but I am, I'm a very big fan and should the album get a release I'll be first in line to get it, I just don't see them having a long career together

I think so. The Saturdays have gone stale now, their last two albums have flopped and they've only had one really big single in the past three years. Not to mention just ONE number one single, ever.

Little Mix are FAR superior vocally and potentially could have more hits under their belt in a few years than The Saturdays could hope for.

I feel bad for MKS because vocally they are amazing. Just seems something isn't going right for them at the minute. I guess talent isn't everything.

I'm not familiar with the original sugababes lineup, I more remember them with Heidi however they were great back in the day. if they never changed the lineup so much, maybe they would have had much more success.

It was the release date and lack of promotion/radio play that hit Flatline but the worst thing they could have done is just disappear for 2 months between the single release and start of the tour.

I've been watching/performances of Sugababes with just Heidi and Keisha around the time Mutya was "ill" before leaving and as much as I love 3.0, it makes me wish they had continued as a duo. I think with the success they were having at that time, they could have carried on as a two rather than a three

I really liked Flatline and thought it was a great comeback single choice, but I agree on the promotion element. The only way I really found out about the single was through this forum. I never saw the video on TV and probably only heard the song on the radio once and that was a local station. It's very disappointing as I was all geared up for their return, especially since I never really heard Siobhan sing.

It was a great comeback single, showcased their vocals really well and the live performances they did do of it were amazing, other than the promotion and release day I can't think of a reason why it didn't chart higher, except for the one I gave previously that there is something about the three of them together which just doesn't connect.

They need to announce a new single and why have they still not given a release date for the album? People have been waiting for over a year now, album was apparently finished in August 2012, and not even a month has been suggested by them

Not in my opinion. For me, The Saturdays are currently the best Girlband at the moment.
