I've listened to Little Mix's new album and it's "meh" to say the least. The best song on there rips off Faure's Pavane and the rest isn't anything to write home about.

Shame it's out the same week as Lada Gaga, The Killers, Keane and not forgetting Eminem who was #1 yesterday as it really deserves to be a number 1 album.”

Well if their the best UK has to offer then how low have we sank in world music. ?

There always seems to be two reigning girlgroups
Spice Girls/All Saints
Atomic Kitten/Sugababes
Girls Aloud/Sugababes

And now it's Little Mix with no competition. StooShe were so close to being the 'cooler' counterpart as per tradition but they messed their album campaign up so so much I think they'll struggle to make any impact now.

The Saturdays have always been there but they've never been the 'A' group and MKS just aren't there at all yet.

This is very true all thought i still don't get what happened to Stooshe.

Stooshe are off the radar at the minute and MKS are a slow burn so far.
Little Mix are actually pretty good and probably building up to a proper breakthrough record.
Best girl group at the moment, although Eternal are in the Big Reunion 2 and they were brilliant in their day.
Eternal might make a comeback although I doubt it.

Interesting Girls Aloud were nearly always in the Top 10 during their decade-long career. Yet they were nothing revolutionary and could barely sing. It's just a shame because the Little Mix girls ALL actually have good voices, I just hope they break America at some point. I suppose not every success has to be overnight.

decade long career… with about 5 years of releasing music.

Stooshe are done for. MKS will sadly never get a top 10 and will probably never have an impact on the charts. Dream on if you think Eternal will break through.

It's just Little Mix and The Saturdays now. Atomic Kitten won\t breakthrough either, which is a shame as they probably are my favourite girl group ever. If Jenny was there instead of Kerry, they might have had a bit of hope.

They only didn't release music in 2010 and 2011, so 8 years of releasing music and a ten year career from 2002-2012.

I don't even know who Eternal are?? and Atomic Kitten are just a desperate attempt by three middle-aged mums to recapture their 15 minutes of fame.

I doubt The Saturdays will seriously break America, Little Mix might because they actually can sing.

A lot of people who grew up in the mid-late 90's will know who Eternal are. There will be a lot of support for them from the Big Reunion as they are blatently the biggest act for the second series. Whether they intend to release any new music remains to be seen but with that voice, it would be criminal if Easther and the girls didn't record any new material.

I think there is a possibility that they will acquire a lot of new fans during the reuioin too. Their back catalogue is quite impressive and I think a lot of new and younger fans may want to hear about their previous hits.

Little Mix are the only successful girlband in the UK at the minute.

StooShe are back in the recording studio according to their twitter so we'll have to wait and see what happens. That album of their was really good.

I'm on about national, TheGraduate2002. Little Mix and The Saturdays are the only girl group with success on the charts here atm.

RIGHT now there's only 2 girl groups anyway The sats and Little Mix. Little Mix might have the edge as there music is abit more creative.

However we talking all time?
Girls Aloud
Spice Girls
All Saints
Atomic Kitten
Sugababes
in the hey dey were incredible and better than Little Mix.

And PS every single Girls Aloud album didn't have a bad track on them infact most were single worthy so LM having that is no claim to fame.

THE SHADE! I think The Saturdays can sing also though. I think Little Mix have a bigger chance of breaking America because they are a few years younger than The Sats (not including Una) & they have that 1D connection.
