Hi, I'm after a bit of advice about my cat. She has several lumps and scabs on her back (kind of on her lower back/rump). She's also got a bit of a bald patch.

I've taken her to the vets a few times and they've given her a steroid injection to stop it itching and stop her licking them.

The vet doesn't really know what the problem is. He said it could be an allergy, could be stress related or flea related (although the vet said there's no evidence of fleas and she doesn't really scratch a lot).

It's been a few moths now and I'm at a bit of a loss. She's overall healthy and happy, but these scabs are a bit unsightly.

Anyone else had a simar problem?

I have heard that commercial pet foods can cause this in dogs & cats and one of my friends used a mixture of dandelion root & cat claw herbs amongst other natural supplements & omega 3 oils etc... to calm her skin down. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help but until then see what you can find on the internet as there should be a natural way to help her feel better.

My mums cat had lots of bumps all over her and it turned out to be a flea- bite allergy. It could be many things but most likely an allergy of some kind.

I really hope it's not flea related! But she doesn't appear to have fleas, so maybe not.

The vet has mentioned doing some allergy tests so I guess that'll be the next step.
