Sarah Lou - Run her course? & Scooter!?!
Do you think Sarah Lou has had her day? I know most people will proberly be against me here but I think she has had everything that can happen, happen. I find her irritating and boring now. I say Kill her off. (Also sick of seen her in everypaper dressed up but still looking about 11)
Also Scooter? Is he supposed to be a sex symbol? Girls? First time i saw him today and didn't think much of him at all. Hope he leaves with Warren! |

Why was he acting all funny when Audrey and Gail offered him a drink in the Rovers the other day? As for Sarah Lou, she's just a bit bland - her whole life seems to be geared around settling down with someone, even the one night stand with Jason couldn't dent that image of her for me. But I guess it's more realistic to keep her around - Gail can't have all of her kids move away.

STUPID THREAD.
Kill Sarah off? Hasnt Gail had enough misery? And Scooter is GREAT, and very funny, better than Warren.

True, Gail has had a lot of misery, but that family are definately at their best when wallowing in tragedy and desapir (Richard Hillman, Todd's betrayal, Eileen & Gail punch up, Nutty Grandma on the Church roof, nutty chatroom man) I would like to see Sarah-Lou as a junkie on the streets, with Gail left behind wallowing in despair. |

Sarah is a bit boring, but I think it would be daft to get rid of her.
As for Scooter - I haven't quite decided what to make of him yet. Is he just a lovely but simple lad, a bit overwhelmed by the family and not having a clue about how to impress (e.g. 'I've got you a pond' What???) or is he going to turn into something else? All that stuff about fish in the pub too - couldn't work out whether he was supposed to be being a bore and Sarah's so besotted she didn't notice, or if he's a genuine fish fan and the theme will continue. |

He may like fish but he also knows about rabbits and where they live locally.

There were no rabbits up my arse the last time I looked.
I think we've been over exposed to Sarah. I think she's been played very well indeed and they've written some good stories for her. But they haven't let her grow up even though she was a breeder by 13 and she's experienced more than most in a life time. I think Sarah should go away for 6-12 months and then return with a more mature outlook and some great storylines. |

No, keep her in, just give her happy storylines for a couple of years. It's been non-stop drama and although it's made for great viewing and the storylines have been fantastic, there's such a thing as over-doing it. So yes, she has been over-exposed. When people think of dramatic Corrie storylines over the last 4 years, half of them involve Sarah...
A year or two of happiness with Scooter (or whoever - maybe no one, it doesn't matter), is what she (and us) need. |

It's not so much the character I can't stand it's the actress who plays her. I used to think she was okay but she seems to get worse every episode that passes. I for one would be glad if Sarah went to see their uncle in Canada for a few months and returned to be played by a different actress.

I think 'Skip Boy' will find something valuable and he & Sarah will become the Posh & Becks of Corrie!

Sarah needs a few years of happiness at the moment, she's been too much at the forefront of some of the big storylines, but I do think the actress is very very good. I really like Scooter so far, thought the whole Radiator Rooney and Hatstand Henri was briliant, the way he immediately got what Candice was about and then went all out to wind her up so nicely - it was the actors first chance to really have a main part in a scene and quite a bit of dialogue and I thought he handled it very nicely. Also thought the whole pond thing was very sweet. I definately warmed to him last night, and as someone's already said, a vast improvement on Warren.

Definitely the character of Sarah needs a bit of happiness, it would be a bit much if she stumbled from one trauma to the next and people would tire of seeing all the major drama happening to the same character. She's been in a big storyline every year since Tina O Brien took over the role of Sarah and whilst I dont' think she should be axed or killed off, I think she should be allowed some happiness and light hearted relief.
Did anyone begin to like Scooter last night when he was taking the mick out of Candunce? lol |

Scooter seems nervous whenever he's not with Sarah Louise. I don't know where this story's leading, but he did have some pretty funny lines yesterday. As for Sarah Lou, definately getting old, but I wouldn't kill her off.

How can people judge a new character when he has only appeared in 4 or 5 episodes?? Its far to early.
As for killing Sarah off, no way hoosay. Great character, great actress - needs some happy storylines! |

i think tina o brien does tragedy really well she is a good actress. however realistically they cant inflict any more pain on her ( for a while anyway).
i agree she should go away with bethany for a while and come back all mature or even with a new fella |
