The woman that plays Chrissie's solicitor has a recognisable face but I just can't place it. Does anyone know who she is and what she has appeared in before?

she was and she looks so different.

I have just read that Amanda might be a lesbian she does seem like a tough cookie.

I thought her character was really good and I hope she sticks around. Chrissie will need a friend if she's staying in the show - they could be a pretty good double act I reckon.

An on-the-Square law type. Suddenly everone will have legal queries they're being told to make an appointment for.

There was some dodgy acting, but it is her first try so I'll give her a chance.

Character-wise I think she's great, as Chrissie is dying for a friend and someone to interact with on screen. Strong women, like she obviously is, are always good in a soap.

And she makes for a realistic friend for Chrissie. Nobody on the square is really her 'type' for a friend I don't think.

I just realised my Mum and my married sister must be lesbians...they're tough cookies. Oh Gawd, Dad will be surprised

I wasn't. As far as she knows, the girl who was supposed to be madly in love with her step-son is now pregnant after sleeping with her husband - after saying she was pregnant with step-sons child.
As far as Chrissie knows, Dennis caught them in bed together. She doesn't why or how long it's been going on for, in her eyes probably since Zoe first announced she was pregnant.

but it just seems a strange contrast from Chrissie being nice to Zoe

She played Karen in Holby City, married to Nick Jordan...played by Michael French...who of course played young Mr David Wicks... Now, I would pay good money to see him back in Albert Square, those were the days.

I'd pay good money for Simon to be back too. I don't think those two were in it together.

No, they weren't ever on screen as brothers, mind you, should BBC Gubbins ever decide to do a spin off Soap Bubble with those two, it might actually work. Certainly more interesting than Phil and Gwant.

Why was she doing all that 'Hmmm, so you're almost 2 months (or whatever) pregnant now? you'll have a scan soon...' stuff where she clearly believed that Zoe had not been pregnant all along.?

The penny dropped for Chrissie, she's a very intelligent woman, apart from her choice in men obviously I love her

Dennis probably told her the baby wasn't real but Zoe wouldn't confess and then Zoe did get pregnant for real. I think Chrissie knows there's a baby now.

I think Amanda would be a good addition to the Square, Chrissie needs a mate and the lesbian angle could be quite good too. We need more diverse characters in the Square at the moment.
