Hi all, looking for a simple answer, the BT site just confused me.
I am starting a broadband contract with BT, (not Infinity) which comes with Home hub router, and BT sport free.
I want to watch BT sport on my TV, not on a laptop or android device.
I am shopping around for a new freeview recorder too.
I am confused about what device I will need to allow me to watch BT sport on my TV.
There is something called a BT Youview receiver (a Humax one) which also is sold by John Lewis.
The BT site suggests I need this, but no mention if a subscription is needed to more channels in order to use BT sport - I don't want to pay further subscriptions when I can get freeview.
but it also confusingly implies an Infinity broadband setup is needed - but onother page on its site shows a splash for non-infinity broadband with a BT sport icon against it so I'm none the wiser.
So my setup will be
aerial - some kind of freeview recorder - tv ..... BT Home hub - internet
Any helpful suggestion on getting BT sport on the TV will be much appreciated.
