Possible to watch another region away from home?
If say you had an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S4 with Netflix on and you wanted to watch a different region on the phone away from a home router, is this possible?

Yes, you can do this with something like Overplay when away from home. You just have to reset your new WiFi access point's external IP address to your Overplay account (exactly the same way as you would do from home by just visiting the correct webpage, and use that same page to set the new region)
Points to note:

You can only access from one network at a time. In other words, if you are in a hotel in Paris and set Overplay to that network, if someone at home does the same, it will switch off Paris and reset back to home. The only way to avoid this is to have a second account.
Some Hotels force their own DNS servers, so it doesn't really work. I have only encounted this once, but it can happen.
Most Hotels have pretty crap Wi-Fi or Internet. It is good enough for surfing, but you probably won't get the best quality stream. That said, Netflix doesn't offer its highest bitrates on mobile devices anyway.
When on 3G or 4G it won't work. Actually, Overplay have something called VPN + Smart DNS which will probably work, but I would avoid this. A Netflix show will probably eat up all your UK mobile data, and if you are abroad it will probably cost more than a small car to stream a film - or at least some places will try and bill you that. |

I was actually thinking of using my mobile providers data tariff as i'm on unlimited. You say this would not work as where I am from it's hard to find anywhere in town with wifi access.
