London - Victoria Beckham wants to crack the US music scene - because her management reckons the British hate her.
The former Spice Girl will spearhead a campaign by Simon Fuller to get his record label 19 Recordings up and running in the US.
He reckons she has a good chance of tapping the market on the back of the Beckham brand and her reputation as Posh Spice.
Her new material, including the single My Love Is For Real, will be released in July under the name Posh Spice Victoria Beckham.
A source at Fuller's 19 Management told The Sun: "Simon feels it is becoming more and more difficult to make the British music-buying public like Victoria. The reaction here is to hate her and her music.
"The Americans are becoming increasingly familiar with the Beckhams through David's international footballing career and they obviously know about Victoria through the Spice Girls."
Fuller will also be launching Will Young, Rachel Stevens and Emma Bunton on the US market
