My Ipad has a cover which is strongly magnetic and which switches it on and off automatically. I thought magnets wrecked computer storage, have the Apple people not seen Breaking Bad?

They destroy magnetic storage - the iPad does not use magnetic storage.

Thanks for that, though my comment was not actually too seriously meant. You have made me wonder though how Ipad storage works - presumably it is like pen drives I call them that - I don't know the real term).

Pen drives, solid state discs (SSD's), the iPod Touch and the iPad all use flash memory but I don't know if the same is true for all tablets.
