Do any other Strictly celebs have glamorous mums, since Janet Ellis was on Daybreak this morning talking about the role of grandparents......and just had to mention her daughter Sophie on Strictly............. Having seen Ashley and Abbeys mums in the audience at the show, is it fair that just because Janet is an ex Blue Peter presenter she should promote her daughter in this way ? Or is it just blatant nepotism.....?

Janet Ellis Bextor is presumably the only mother from this year's Strictly cast working in the media or with something to plug right now and, as she was on Daybreak, of course she was going to mention Sophie doing Strictly. I'd have been surprised if she hadn't!

Good for her, bet she is real proud of her daughter so why not give her a mention, would have been weird if she did not mention her methinks

I used to watch Janet Ellis music tapes when I was little! Have to say I do prefer Sophie's singing . Also, Sophie's brother, Jack, was adorable as a child.

Hypothetically speaking a Medical Consultant who specialised in genetics might help with problem of who Sophie's kids granny is , and whether she is indeed glamorous.

The glamorous gene does run in families and Sophie has it for sure.

I think I know the same genealogist. He told me that Abbey's biological mother is actually Jackie Corkhill. Not exactly glamourous but she'll be in the studio to support Abbey as soon as she gets Jimmy off the smack.
