Small range of cereals plus milk - full fat and skimmed
Bowl of dried fruits Yogurt Sliced melon (Honey Dew, Galia and Watermelon are all easily available) Sliced bread that they can toast for themselves. Butter, spread, jam, honey, marmalade. Croisants Pain au chocolat If you are thinking of cooking, then keep it to just two things. Bacon (cooked in the oven) and scrambled eggs or sausages (also cooked in the oven) and either beans or tined toms. Kedgeree could be good. Good luck. |

Saw on the telly someone poaching loads of eggs the day before, just a bit underdone, then plunge then into iced water to stop further cooking. Leave them in the water. You could even do this at home. When needed lower them into very hot water (not quite boiling) with a slotted spoon for one minute, then out onto kitchen paper.
Sausages wrapped in bacon, baked beforehand, and just microwaved when required. Last time I did this sort of thing, we took them all breakfast in bed - just a poached egg (marmalade for the veggies!) on toast and a cup of tea. Ask whoever gets up first to help you! You can buy precooked microwaveable sausages, but I don't know what they taste like. Microwave haggis? http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Produ.../?id=266317731 Just a thought! Breakfast Casserole
Make a couple of these. Can be prepared in advance.
Grease a shallow baking dish with butter, maybe an inch or so deep. Tear up some stale bread and cover it almost to the top but not quite. Brown off some sausages - cheapos do well. Chop them up into bite size pieces and scatter on top of bread. Dice some onion and scatter it all over. Dice a pepper… (Add anything really, chopped bacon, black pudding etc.) Slice some tomatoes to put on top. Whisk up half dozen or so eggs with some milk and season it. I add dried sage usually. Pour it all over the dish Let it soak in (can prepare the day before or immediately) Scatter over some grated cheese Bake in oven til set (about half hour to 40 mins) Leave it for 5 mins or so to cool a bit. Slice it up. Delicious hot or cold. Serve with baked beans, potato wedges, fried potatoes, bubble n squeak etc (or you can boil and slice potatoes and put it in the casserole) Ideal for mass breakfast. Should look something like THIS Skill Level = nil On a similar note Banitsa Banitsa Continental Croissants Cold ham Salami Pot of jam Pain au chocolat Boiled Eggs and toast Omelette in a bag - you can do a few at the same time. |

Sunday I'd do a big 'grill' up - it's easy enough to keep stuff warm in the oven while the last few things are cooking. I don't think it's much harder to breakfast for 14 than it is for 2, just requires a wee bit of planning re: timings.
Sausage, hash browns, beans, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and scrambled eggs. Bread & butter. Ketchup & brown sauce. Let everyone help themselves. Sausages, hash browns, bacon and toms can all be done in the oven |

I would ask them what kind of breakfasts they want. Some of them might just want toast/cereal but others might want a full English so it just depends on them. Atleast this way you can get an idea of quantities and not guess

I love a continental breakfast. Selection of cereals, breads, pastries, bacon. Then maybe cook some sausage, bacon and toast etc
