This is my first time posting i normally just read but after seeing that minisode i just wanted to say i thought it was brilliant to see paul in his own little story.

When I saw that scene of them waiting in the cave mouth... my skin was prickling all over...

I just edged closer to having that affair with Moffat.

So glad I saw this early, the "spoiler" is all over the internet now. It was such a powerful reveal that I'm still buzzing now and I would have lost that if I'd read about it first.

This is like when I wait hours on a freezing platform for a missing train, writing all manner of complaints in my head which disappear like smoke in the wind as soon as the train arrives and I sink relieved into a warm seat. All my disappointment with the anniversary year so far just faded away.

Those name checks will certainly drop quite the cat in among the pigeons as to what can and cannot be considered canon. Moffat, sir, I salute you. Pleasing the fans while simultaneously causing flame wars galore online. It takes quite the gift to be able to do both at once.

I've never read/heard the Big Finish stuff as I'd always regarded it as non-canon. I have some catching up to do now!

I'm my opinion the 8th Doctor ones are by far the best and Lucie Miller is my favourite companion TV included.

Heads up however the wikipedia articles I linked to for each of the companions do contain a fair amount of spoilers

Amazing! Absolutely amazing. I was hoping for this but the cynic in me didn't expect it. Paul McCann now has two stories to his name! AND we have another regeneration.

Very clever that the John Hurt regeneration doesn't actually come from the usual regeneration cycle too...

I hope Paul is ready for what's to come now..............

I haven't watched much McGann to be honest, I've tried to watch as much classic as I can, but haven't covered it all!

But I must say, I seem to have felt the same appreciation, he was brilliant, always exciting seeing a different side!
