We might see John Hurt's War Doctor regenerate into Chris Eccleston's Doctor?

Chris always said he'd NEVER do Doctor WHo again but a few months before the Anniversary he hinted that he would consider it and was intalks then all of a sudden, it all went quiet.

I think if they were able to keep this Paul McGann thing a secret, what else have they kept?!

So I guess we can put it to bed now. Hurt isn't a true regeneration but a manufactured regeneration. A false regeneration. Hurt is another form of McGann?!?!?!?

McGann died though. And turned into John Hurt. He wasn't turned into him while alive, he was brought back to regenerate.

I just think Hurt is the 9th Doctor.

He still owns the rights to his likeness, though, so he could rain on that parade if he wanted to. But I'm encouraged by his recent reticence on the subject.

I think it's likely we'll see the image of the Ecclestone's Doctor in the 50th even if he doesn't personally appear.


It might be a while before I consider him the 9th Doctor, even if it turns out to be correct.

I dunno though. It all looked a bit witch-crafty to me. Who to say they were telling the truth in that 8 had died/was gonna die and they brought him back just so he could drink the potion.

He may not have died. In which case they induced a false regeneration to make him the war version of 8. 8.5.... who then regenerates into 9.

I still think there will be some way of not altering the numbers.
