If we've been treated to the shock of Paul McGann regenerating into John Hurt, do you think at the end of next week's episode we might see.......

Well you see where I'm going with this!

We might see John Hurt's War Doctor regenerate into Chris Eccleston's Doctor?

EDIT: Chris isn't really a luvvie. What's the word for a small-scale actor who thinks he's a big shot?

That's exactly what I'm talking about!

Chris always said he'd NEVER do Doctor WHo again but a few months before the Anniversary he hinted that he would consider it and was intalks then all of a sudden, it all went quiet.

I think if they were able to keep this Paul McGann thing a secret, what else have they kept?!

How is he that? Chris has always come across as quite modest!

He's a great actor!

Thrilled this has happened Even if Chris isn't involved the BCC have enough computer jiggery pokery to make it happen anyway. I can't believe they won't as all the loose ends will then be tied up!

So I guess we can put it to bed now. Hurt isn't a true regeneration but a manufactured regeneration. A false regeneration. Hurt is another form of McGann?!?!?!?

McGann died though. And turned into John Hurt. He wasn't turned into him while alive, he was brought back to regenerate.

I just think Hurt is the 9th Doctor.

He still owns the rights to his likeness, though, so he could rain on that parade if he wanted to. But I'm encouraged by his recent reticence on the subject.

I think it's likely we'll see the image of the Ecclestone's Doctor in the 50th even if he doesn't personally appear.

It might be a while before I consider him the 9th Doctor, even if it turns out to be correct.

It's not necessary to do that. As Hurt says of himself, 'Doctor no more.'

Speculation but spoilered just in case !

Spoiler
"Is it going to HURT" when he takes a drink lol but JH might degenerate in PM who then regenerates into CE thus maintaining the number order !

Therefore erasing JH as The Doctor

Just think we have seen this but wait for the Americans to start having Nerdgasms, they should be waking up to this about now depending where they are located.

I dunno though. It all looked a bit witch-crafty to me. Who to say they were telling the truth in that 8 had died/was gonna die and they brought him back just so he could drink the potion.

He may not have died. In which case they induced a false regeneration to make him the war version of 8. 8.5.... who then regenerates into 9.

I still think there will be some way of not altering the numbers.
