There was a lot of twitter activity this morning from music type accounts spinning from that article - but most of them seemed to be taking the line that Matt and Mel were going to record a duet, rather than it's a song that was done last summer. Very strange!

He's been seen skating and in Nandos today so it seems as if he's having some nice leisure time. Whether it extends to a decent break remains to be seen! I hope he does but I wouldn't put it past him to get back in the studio very soon.

James Whale tagged Matt in on this yesterday as well - so I am wondering if he is involved in some way.

Although FT will always hold a special special place in my heart, I've probably overheard it now!

He does seem to seek out the simple things in life, no jetting off to a sunshine Isle to rest up after the tour. So refreshing

Are you from Scotland eldracttam? I was at the Edinburgh one with my daughter too (all she had heard in the car and house for months was Matt's CD's so was totally 'cardled' by then and was so excited to get to come along as my sister had to work at the last minute!)
I did debate before buying the tickets about getting seated or standing ones but in the end went for seated just from a comfort point of view and the fact they were reserved so it didn't matter what time we got there. We were upstairs right on the back row and ended up dancing to most of the songs anyway! (was nice to have a wee seat for the accoustic songs though).
I liked the Queen's Hall as a venue as its nice and intimate and the accoustics were great for carrying Matt's gorgeous voice. I loved all the songs but my favourite of the night was Letters, it definitely gave me goosebumps!
I think the Edinburgh crowd were maybe a wee but slow to get warmed up but once we did there was no stopping us, I certainly had a bit of a sore throat the next day due to all the singing He certainly rocked Edinburgh that night and I left there on such a high and wondering if I could make it Glasgow the next night for a second helping lol Unfortunately I had other commitments.

I love the idea of gig buddies and all meeting up before / after the show I hope to be able to join in for the next one.

Another great report piebaldlady, loved it!

Getting last but not working tomorrow so am off to view some videos on You Tube from Potters Resort ”

I stay in the North East of England.
I too enjoyed the Edinburgh gig. I think the live version of Letters and also The Fire are favorites of mine on tour, whereas when I listen to the CD Letters is not high up on my favorites.
Glad your daughter enjoyed herself. I did notice a lady upstairs dancing the night away wearing white, was that you

Sorry can't choose one, I love everything he sings, I often think his covers are better than the originals

I think Wales and the South West of England have been pretty neglected on the whole - priority in this direction please.

With the band - there can be only one choice:

Without the band - this one is the daddy!

Great choice BB!
Him and Ali really do work so well together, the banter between them in some of the vids is so funny!

I just love how he can take any song and sing it brilliantly, blows me away.

Yeah I agree Letters is so much better sung live, its edgier and rockier which makes it so special to hear, there are a lot of WOW moments.
I am looking forward to seeing him play some accoustic songs live at Ayr later this month, in fact I am so excited I can hardly contain it!!

lol that lady could well have been me, i was wearing a white top that night

I have - finally - managed to put down some of the snippets discussed backstage at Bournemouth. I know this ship has kinda sailed, but if you would like a DM let me know and I'll include you in the loop later : )
