They are radio industry awards - the ones the radio stations most want to win - so things like best show on radio and best station (which was won by R2 tonight ) They used to be called the Sonys, but Sony stopped sponsoring them, so they are now called The Radio Academy Awards.

A chance for a bit of serious networking presumably.

They certainly did look lovely - and had two very nice articles out of it.

And hence "result"

Just switched on the TV (ITV2) and thought I might catch up with Emmerdale (not missing much). Then come the adverts and up pops my husband, seriously weird and very surreal. The Cancer Research campaign and as he says 'Generous people saved my life', (he forgot to mention his wife and juicers also helped). Next I popped onto my Face Book page and there is a post from Matt and the video 'Amazing'. So surreal and you can always find a message somewhere around.

My husband had stage IV lung cancer and would not be here today if not for Cancer Research, (2 open and closed operations followed by CHART radiotherapy courtesy of Cancer Research investment). It does make a difference as Matt and his family are fully aware.

Sad to hear the young 18 year old boy, who raised millions lost his fight this morning.

Oh ok, just thought it was strange to use that.

So pleased to hear things turned out well for your husband, its never easy for all those affected.

Lovely to hear that your husband is doing well and, as you say, it's heartbreaking to hear about Stephen. I don't know how anyone comes to terms with that.
