I think it's a shame there was blabber mouth working there, I guess she knows something as the tweets have been deleted, but it would have been nice to have had a bit of guessing, but still had to wait for Matt to give out the information himself. That's assuming she really does know something. Could be a red herring I suppose.

So lots of trips to the theatre this summer!

Must be Memphis- tickets are advertised till October 15 and apparently the lead guy leaves 4 July

Shame I'll not be able to get down to London to see him.

I was thinking that because that's the theatre the lady tweeted is from and Beverly Knight is in it who he's met a few times. Strange because I was stuck in traffic on a bus outside there very recently and I was looking at the sparkly sign for ages remembering my theatre days fondly

Well if he's treading the boards, in poss Memphis, that'll be a great experience for him

Beverley Knight is due to leave towards the end of July, so if it is Memphis and Matt takes over as soon as the current lead leaves, then they'll have a few weeks together before he has a new leading lady.

It would be a cracking part for him, quite a challenge!

Me too - having watched a few YTs, the part will really suit him. Going to book tickets as soon as it is confirmed as Memphis tomorrow. I'm guessing that his acting is up to it, otherwise he wouldn't have been cast - I have no doubt that his singing will impress those who have not heard him before.

I’ve learned that Matt will be joining soul singer BEVERLEY KNIGHT to play the lead role of Huey in the West End show on July 6 for three months.

I suspect there will be several groups taking the opportunity to meet and see a show. Just hope they remember it's a theatre and calling out how much they love him won't be acceptable.

This is very exciting! I fear for my bank balance! I can see why he's nervous as he hasn't really acted at all before but I'm sure he'll do an amazing job.

I wonder what this will mean for the album. I guess it will be pushed back a bit more so but on the other hand it will be great exposure for him and hopefully bring a lot of interest for his new stuff, so
