I'm all for a dark & moody photoshoot. Or something a bit unusual. But it's been a while since he's done a professional photoshoot so just some new photos will be nice!

He went to the Motown musical press night tonight with his gf.

Exactly, something out of the box would be appreciated, but really I'll be happy with any new photos

and I must admit that I like his girlfriend's style, simple, with class and always appropriately for the occasion

Looking rather snazzy indeed with lots of beaming happy smiles all round Must have felt odd not being on stage in what was your second home for a while.

I'm hoping for some black & white photos too. Infact we all seem to be thinking along the same lines.

Ticket sales going well by all accounts, let's hope I can get mine tomorrow.

Yes - they were great at the time, but that was two years ago. A new set of pictures are long overdue. A sign that things are beginning to move towards release dates for new music hopefully.

Pleased you're going Crabbie (finally something in Wales!) - will be interested to hear about it, quite a different type of gig for Matt.

I'm very intrigued - particularly as it is being billed as reggae love songs - I can't quite imagine Matt doing reggae, but he seems to be able to pull off any genre he tries, so who knows.

I may well have just purchased some tickets for the Cheltenham gig too.....

Nice one, it's been a while for you . I'm intrigued as to the guest spot, we know why now but the music? It'll be interesting to see what he does.

That's looks rather fabulous to me, don't mind a bit of Jazz at all . Very tempted to get a ticket now as it looks a fun evening of live music (tho I wouldn't want to be sat down)

It'll be really interesting to hear ! Jazz is actually a direction I'd be quite happy to hear Matt explore further on a future release - especially if it was of the more moody variety (so like a development of his Album 4 stuff, for example ).

I think the I Put A Spell On You cover was a good example of how he might blend in with YolanDa. I'd love a smoky, stripped down Summertime arrangement but we know he can do the uptempo numbers very well too (When You Were My Girl etc.).

Yes and yes, it looks like a great, fun show and I am 100% sure that Matt will be delicious for the ears and eyes

I completely adore Matt's I Put A Spell On You

Matt's "I Put A Spell On You" is fabulous.

I would love to see United Music do a promotional video for the tour, similar in style to Yolanda's.

New songs appeared on BMG site (please correct me if some of these are old outtakes):

In Love Alone - Larissa Eddie, Matthew Cardle - we heard this one, on ASCAP performers - Matt Cardle, maybe it will be on album?
The River - Ali Thomson, Matthew Cardle
Chase Me - Matthew Cardle, Nell Bryden
So Beautiful - Matthew Cardle, Niklas Jarl, Richard McCourt

I was thinking recently that we’ve already got a pretty long tracklist forming. Higher Power, Don’t Hold Back, Hallelujah, Human Nature, With You, Ten/Ten, Nirvana, Blue and The End makes 9, and the “couple of singles” Matt mentioned would take it up to 11 or so. If those are even more new ones on the BMG site presumably something’s going to give, or end up on a deluxe version? Of course, it’s great to see he’s still being productive so late into the album 4 sessions !

I must say, I’m worrying (hopefully unnecessarily) about the singles – I hope they haven’t been designed specifically for radio at the expense of fitting with the other album tracks (sound/mood-wise). I’m very keen on listening to an album from start to finish and am keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll sit comfortably beside what we’ve already heard – Loving You didn’t for me on Porcelain, but it was undoubtedly a well-written pop duet and stirred up some interest. I really enjoyed When You Were My Girl, by comparison – maybe that’s the sort of balance I’m hoping for. I’d have been quite happy with Nirvana or (a slightly reworked) Hallelujah filling the spots, partly because that would free up more space for other things

I predict they’ll push to get the album out in time for the June live dates (especially now we know photo sessions are happening) – but I might be being optimistic The wording on the descriptions for the live dates was probably left deliberately ambiguous.

If these songs are registered as such am I correct in thinking that they are complete, virtually complete apart from the production? I assume that registering them is copywrite & legally protects the composition team? Don't know much about this, I'm interested in how it all works.
