I was thinking recently that we’ve already got a pretty long tracklist forming. Higher Power, Don’t Hold Back, Hallelujah, Human Nature, With You, Ten/Ten, Nirvana, Blue and The End makes 9, and the “couple of singles” Matt mentioned would take it up to 11 or so. If those are even more new ones on the BMG site presumably something’s going to give, or end up on a deluxe version? Of course, it’s great to see he’s still being productive so late into the album 4 sessions

!
I must say, I’m worrying (hopefully unnecessarily) about the singles – I hope they haven’t been designed specifically for radio at the expense of fitting with the other album tracks (sound/mood-wise). I’m very keen on listening to an album from start to finish and am keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll sit comfortably beside what we’ve already heard – Loving You didn’t for me on Porcelain, but it was undoubtedly a well-written pop duet and stirred up some interest. I really enjoyed When You Were My Girl, by comparison – maybe that’s the sort of balance I’m hoping for. I’d have been quite happy with Nirvana or (a slightly reworked) Hallelujah filling the spots, partly because that would free up more space for other things
I predict they’ll push to get the album out in time for the June live dates (especially now we know photo sessions are happening) – but I might be being optimistic

The wording on the descriptions for the live dates was probably left deliberately ambiguous.
