I'm sorry for you and all the people who had booked, especially if they'd booked hotels and expensive transport.

be it either in person or via the many many recorded videos uploaded.

It would have been a special one for me as the tickets were a pressie. I'd be interested to know why it was cancelled but as long as Matt's health is ok, that's the most important thing.

My camera had a malfunction at that point at the thrill of it all. Anyway he came on - did a couple of songs, went off for a couple - came back for another one, went off and came back for a couple more. So he was dotted through the set, which worked really well. All the songs he did were such iconic songs, and it was an absolute thrill to see and hear him perform them with such an incredible bunch of musicians. The reaction from the audience was absolutely fantastic, I think some of them may have been a little sceptical about him, but were won over immediately he started singing The Power of Love. The set closed with Relax - and it was just a bit of a wonderful head spin to be honest. A real honest-to-goodness thrill. I wouldn't mind him doing a few gigs like that a year alongside his other stuff, definitely introduces him to new people, and is a big bunch of happy fun.

Saw a couple of posts from people who were there, thought you might like to see.
