Matt seems to have gone down well again today at the Rewind Festival judging by some great tweets. Although the set was a little shorter by the sound of it - Power of Love, Owner of A Lonely Heart and Relax. Hopefully there will be some videos to come!

As the Rewind Festival is about the 1980's, then technically the band shouldn't have been covering 10CC's I'm Not In Love and Seal's Kiss From A Rose.

About time this happened . I'll be pre ordering soon. Re new tracks, I do wonder if some that have been hanging around, don't fit into the new album "theme" will be used on this? TheEnd springs to mind after listening to the little preview months ago. This is a good marketing strategy too, I partic like the photo reference as we all love this work - I do wonder if it's new, old or a mix of photos? All in all, jolly good !!

So, it will not be available in any digital format? The most interesting thing is the choice of brand new tracks. And whether these particular songs will appear later on Higher Power.

I've read online rumors about a possible autumn single promoting Higher Power (josepvinaixa site) but don't know if this is true.

I was wondering that too, it seems to be only this limited edition version.

I was looking at Matt's Spotify (new profile picture is much needed) and I felt surprised that Singapore is a city with the largest number of listeners. I keep my fingers crossed for a few concerts/festivals outside the UK next year

A few of the new tracks missing off the live album. There must be a reason be it a bad recording (for whatever reason) OR they must be saved for something else

I'm taking it as a good sign they will be on the album!

Ooooh.. Wonder why that is? 'Desire' is absent so I thought it might be a single. But so is Hallelujah. Wonder what the thinking is; but at least Ten Ten is there and I can relive Bury St Edmunds. Not a bad thing to be going in with!

My guess is that Desire is definitely earmarked for a single, although I'm tempted to think it may be a second or third single, and something completely new to us is the lead.

So now Matt is working (writing or producing or both)with Jim Eliot & Mima Stilwell. That's really great, Anything could happen is one of my favorite songs from Ellie, just excellent production If you leave me now by Foxes has nice atmosphere too.
Production of the electrosoul album must be superb quality, I'm happy that Matt spends the time and a lot of money on it.

I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of In chains precisely because of the production and instrumentation.

I love In Chains!! But maybe I don't understand production enough to know what's wrong!

Of course Porcelain was produced in a very short time period, mainly by Matt himself, and at a time when his personal life was a mess. He undoubtedly is spending a huge amount of money on this album, which begs the question who is funding it. It's far more than a label like Absolute would normally spend.

I'm the same, I love In Chains, but don't really understand production issues to pick up faults. Matt himself has given the impression that he doesn't feel the album was finished properly though, so I guess he may feel the same, and one of the reasons he's taking longer on album 4.

In the tour programme United Agents Music are listed as Live Agent, Curtis Brown for acting and BMG UK are also listed prominently. Possible label or because of the publishing deal? I think we've talked about BMG before and how the way they work would suit Matt.

It looks like you are correct Moomin - I have just seen that BMG UK are listed on Matt's FB page as being his label - which is great, as it looks like he will have real backing for releasing album 4.

I am not an expert in these matters as well. But somehow IN CHAINS is not contemporary, modern for me. More space, Lorenzo's guitar with long solo, bass, maybe cello, a few changes in the chorus, this song somehow I hear completely different in my head. But I know that most people love this track and that's great

I'm quite sure Matt's connection with UA is purely organization of his live gigs and tours. Eg. Tonight's Live At Zedel was a UA event. But they are not involved in the recording or production of album 4. His FB page definitely says "Record Label - BMG UK" so I think that means he has a recording deal with BMG, which is fantastic news.

So this is really fantastic news and at the same time very interesting Geek in me is checking BMG artists now

I was very happy he did Champagne Kisses, I love that song. The acoustic version of Blind Faith was amazing too. He's brilliant at writing songs that work well acoustic as well as with the bells and whistles, as he puts it.

From close up pictures I have seen on Twitter, it says "somnium fidelis" which could mean "a true dream" suggesting "believe in your dream" - but I quite like the idea of "day dream believer" which I think suits Matt - he does seem to be a bit of a day dreamer. But it could be something more subtle of which only he knows the exact intent.
