Thank you for your answer My interpretation somnium fidelis - faithful to the dreams, which means the same thing, and yes "day dream believer" suits Matt

Blind Faith was real highlight, thank you moomin for the recording Matt's talk after song too

One more thing
I admit that I have a pretty strong aversion to Run for your life, maybe twice in my life I listened to it, but I took the bull by the horns and watched a video from Zedel and ... I was laughing the whole time. Thanks Matt

That's alright Antologia, he was very chatty and very funny about lots of things the whole evening, bless him and his notes!

I know what you mean about RFYL, and yes I thought it was funny too - yet he still managed to sing it very prettily. I'd still rather hear him sing a long list of his underplayed songs ahead of that though!

Oh, " prettily" that's the right word So Nathan's request has been fulfilled and IMHO RFYL and WWC should be left for good. Matt has so many great songs rarely or not performed live at all

Oh yes please, so many good ones to choose from... Pull Me Under, Walking on Water, For Every Heartbreak, Hanging from Your Heartstring, The Fire etc etc
I must say I would even be happy to just have an evening with Chatty Matt without any singing, he's so funny.....notes optional

That little acoustic snippet of Pull Me Under at Sheffield was gorgeous - I'd love to hear a full version of that!

I'm not onside with Nathan's love of RFYL, but at one of the VIPs he did say that Sparks was one of his favourites and he'd been trying to get Matt to sing it live - now that I could get behind.

Here's a full playlist from Zedel:

# 5YearsLettersAnniversary
For me the most important song from this album is Letters, not even album version but live version shines every time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQGx1aNufYc Letters - London Acoustic Guitar Show 2013
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-sLA3hz0NM Letters - O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire with band
I cannot count how many performances of this song can be found on youtube, perfection every time

Hoping the articles published today are a sign that an album promotion campaign is in the offing.

"It's been a long two-year process but it's almost there." Almost there ! ! ....I like this.

Hopefully they'll (XF) consider supporting me with my forth album."....Not sure how I feel about this though.

I have mixed feelings too...

It's strange, at first when I saw the first DS article, I was surprised why the news from a few years ago is now in circulation. I guess that's part of the strategy shaping the image and stuff...
The second DS article is much more interesting to read for any fan

#cardlecatchup Matt mentioned 2 more Jim Eliot co-writes during the show: ‘Time To Be Alive’ and ‘High As The Night’

Thanks TMC

So yesterday was # 4YearsTheFireAnniversary
Actually I have such a soft spot for this album, diverse, but still somehow cohesive.
I wish that Matt visited both Fire and Porcelain more often...
moomin123

... and tomorrow is three years since Porcelain was released! Have to agree Antologia I wish he visited those albums more often too. A lot of great songs between the two, sad that some have never been played live, and some only very occasionally. Maybe if does tour with the band again next year some of them may appear again.

Fingers crossed the articles and the recent photoshoot with Sonya Jasinski mean things are beginning to move in the direction of the album or a single release. Matt did make a small reference to the first of those DS articles before he sang Nights In White Satin at Zedel on Sunday ...

O God, I hope that Higher Power will not follow the tradition of the autumn albums...
Interesting for what this photoshoot is intended, quite melancholic and calm, I like it.

Since Take That came back, every single album has been released in October/November but the next one is out in March. Hopefully Matt is following that pattern

A P-line means that rights to the sound recording exist. In this case the rights are owned by Darwyn Ltd, which is Matt's company, so he owns the rights to the sound recording.

Loved this comment on the Koko Uninvited video:-

"Me when first watching this video: ugh oh great, who is this wannabe trying to sing my baby's song??

*hears him sing

Me: oh my Jesus ****ing Christ who is this man and why have I not heard of him before!!?

*Bows down to him in tears 😭"

I wish he'd perform Uninvited again at some point.

He's doing another Hippodrome gig in February:

Really lovely venue and was a great show last time.

A few random thoughts
Once I wanted to write about it, but I changed my mind. But yesterday I saw something on Matt's Facebook (hmm or not) and read an interesting exchange of views under one of the video. And I just want to say that I absolutely support freedom of speech, especially when it is expressed in cultured, sensible way. I support the constructive criticism and honest feedback. Mixed feelings, really...
