Matt's doing a gig at The Lowry in Manchester on 27th January. That's been a great venue for him in the past, and good to see something a bit further North after so many London-centric gigs recently!

Great news, something to look forward to in the new year.
Tickets selling well, all sold out in the stalls , a few left in the upper tiers.

So this change has been confirmed: Introduced into the chart in 2014, streams have previously been equated to sales of downloads by being divided by 100. As of January 2017, they will be divided by 150, with the rate to change from 100:1 to 150:1.
This is a good change, not only for Matt, but actually for most of the artists.

Merry Christmas everyone

Matt was a guest performer at Kerry Ellis' Xmas show at the Hippodrome tonight. He sang River and Bring Him Home.

Agree the change in streaming numbers will benefit most artists, although the number of streams for a sale is still quite low compared to some countries I think I read. Guess time will tell if the change is enough to bring the charts back to life a bit.

Yes, it won't affect significantly the dynamics of the charts, but each one place up will be appreciated

I've been following Matt for a few years now - will we be getting a new album next year?

Quite possible...
We can only pray for it or send positive vibrations or stamp our feet (I tried almost year ago, didn't work)
Edit: actually it worked, we have Intimate & Live

Happy Christmas to you too Pie and all Matt fans - let's hope there's more to chat about in the new year - album 4 finally being released would help that somewhat! 🙏🏻

His fourth studio album should be launched sometime in 2017, but a couple of singles first probably - he's been recording it for well over two years now, so it should be rather special.

Matt sang Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb at Zedel tonight at the piano! There was a livestream on FB, hopefully a video will surface!

Happy New Year everyone!

Absolutely love this ❤️ His tone when he sings in his lower register is stunning.

Isn't this just gorgeous . Managed to snatch a few minutes and listened just to this so far. Less is indeed more. That tone in his voice is just lush.
