erm... not really!

love how enthusiastic Matt can get about other singers, though

Is there anywhere to see the full show? Did Matt sing as well as being guest judge ?

Only if you're Irish or clever enough to get around country restrictions (neither of which I am, unfortunately)

Apparently he sang a bit of a Pink song when mentoring to help the contestants out... not sure if he'll get a performance on the live shows at some point

Thanks for the links Crabbie. I enjoyed watching them. I thought Jay was good but nothing like Matt. He didn't have the smooth velvety tones. From these clips, I really like The Voice Ireland. It's more down to earth and less pretentious than the UK version. I'm quite happy to watch the UK version but I find Kylie a bit OTT, like she's trying too hard. In the very short clip of him speaking Matt came over really well, as always, the gent.
My thoughts are now turning to Bridgwater with some concerns about the flooding this time. Do any of you locals have any info as whether road and rail links are likely to be affected? I heard on the national news one day that there were no trains into Bridgwater. I'll be driving from Southampton, hopefully with a friend. The friend who came last time is having an op on that day so I've persuaded another friend to come. This one knows very little about Matt so I'm going round with CDs later. I've told her she needs to do some homework before the gig.

Hi SSS, roads are flooded here at the mo! OH was away visiting his dad this week and had to drive through flooded roads to get home. The motorway was fine (M5) but he had to come off at Bridgewater junction to get back here as it's the only route we have. Police also had road blocks up due to flooding and he was diverted several times which led to him almost getting into town more than once and then having to trail around again on another route. Basically, a forty minute trip took nearly three hours and a lot of stress. Fingers crossed it will clear up soon

No me neither, a bit puzzled at that comparison.

Stars and Lovers at Koko has been added to the FB page today, and "management" have asked peeps to like the YT video as well as the FB post. Not sure if there is a good reason for that, but since they asked, I thought I would post here for people to do the same.

Beginning to think this gig is doomed never to happen. I really hope the water gets a chance to subside this week.

Re tbb. Didn't sound anything like Matt to me. Can't see where the comparison comes in.

Thanks, I feared as much. I can't leave early this time so I'll probably hit the rush hour as well. Still a lot can happen in 10 days but that water doesn't look as though it's going anywhere fast.
On another note we had a new carpet fitted this afternoon so I'm now sorting all the contents of a unit. I've come across 20 or so 45s including a 1967 copy of Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues. We generally had quite good taste-there's a couple by The Beatles, Manfred Mann, Otis Reading, Stevie Wonder and Spencer Davis Group but there's a couple I wouldn't want to own up to. I must have a look at the LPs next.

It's only this week that the outskirts of Bridgewater have flooded so I Imagine it will be sorted in time, most of the outlying village people who have been evacuated are in a shelter in Bridgewater town so it is one of the safer zones. I'll check in with the local commuters over the next few days to see how it's panning out and also check if local buses to Bridgewater are running because if they are there must be clear routes in

Not only can't I see why there is a comparison, but I am surprised that Jay was picked over Aisling, I thought she was much better.

Looks like Matt was out at a party last night:

Looks like he's lost a bit of weight, unless it's the camera angle.

ETA It was this party - Matt's not mentioned in the article though.

Ummmm, I didn't pick up anything from that clip at all

Returning back to XF - if they got back all the winners and / or finalists then I feel that would indeed make for a ratings boost. Let's celebrate everyone's success whether signed to Syco or not
