Perhaps he's been asked to sing at the wedding?

Awww I missed all the excitement over on twitter tonight.
Lots of songs to choose from now, spoilt for choice. Would rather hear his own songs, although I'm still longing to here Uninvited live

I do think @itsBMcKnight should come over and sing 'Not Over You' with me?! #PorcelainTOUR2014 x

Brian McKnight ‏@ItsBMcKnight 3h
@matt_cardle_uk man I would love to

Now that sounds promising - wonder if he will be free in April to come over.

He's burst a blood vessel on his vocals chords Sounds horrible! I hope it doesn't effect his voice long term. This is what happens when you work for 3 years solid without a break!

Awww ((hugs)) Bet you were gutted, did you actually arrive at the venue ?
Everybody ( well nearly everyone (has the "Rolls Eyes Sarcastically" smiley gone) ) on Twitter seems really understanding and only wishes Matt the best.

Yes I went to the venue, I won't say too much on here but the promoter was lovely. He even bought me and my friends a couple of drinks and said we could all stay for the evening free of charge if we wanted as the support act would play but I decided to come home. Shame the guy has lost a lot of money in hiring a barrier and sound system plus having to refund the cost of tickets for those who don't want, or can't take, the alternative date. I hope lots of people go in January so he can still recoup from it He was a lovely man!

It sounds serious - but hopefully it isn't as bad as it sounds. I really think he has been over-doing it. He needs a really long rest.

I went to the venue with BB, where they told us it was off - so I decided to go straight back home, whilst there was some daylight left.

It's been re-scheduled - but it's the same night as Mel's "Sporty is Forty" bash and as I have tickets for that too - I will be in London.

When is the Jingle Ball in Belfast, is it Mon? If so, can a burst vessel heal that quickly or will he have to cancel?

I guess it depends on how bad it is. A few days vocal rest may be enough. If you google it, there are a few articles that say if rested it gets better.

I wondered about Jingle Ball, I honestly think he'd better resting than doing something so soon. Especially at a gig like that where there's plenty of other acts and he's not relied on so much. Just worried for him! We knew he was working himself to the bone and now he really has hurt himself!

He said this on Facebook:

"Matt Cardle: thanks for all the lovely messages guys… I'm resting my voice for the next 48 hours! Hopefully will be no long term damage. Again, really really sorry. Can't wait to see you in January : ) "

So 48 hours indicates he will be there on Monday. The thing is, his voice may be rough, but he may in all other ways feel fine, so as long as he does vocal rest for a coup[le of days it may be enough - especially as he is only likely to be doing 3-4 songs at the Jinglebell Ball - whereas Bridgwater was a full hour long set.

I was there last year and it's a backing track so not so he can go a bit easier on the vocals at least. Last thing planned for a while anyway as far as I'm aware.
