Any advice on which of these is best? I'm more or less limited to these two as the purchase will be part-funded by the Orange phone fund.

I know that it's relatively easy to find comparisons of the specs, but this is not really the information I'm looking for. What I'm after is advice on which phone is best in the real world and why - i.e what might be the unforseen pitfalls and benefits of each handset and what people have found in their own experience.

On the face of it the Galaxy Fame is is presumably the better of the two seeing that it's twenty pounds more, but of course relatively small price differentials are not always a reliable indication of comparative quality.

Gf's got the Fame. Nice, compact and optimised for Jelly Bean. Screen isn't too great, but it has a 5mp camera which produces very good photos when viewed on a pc / uploaded.

It's fast and looks great in white. The camera is the differentiator, if you want a decent snapper on your mobile.
