Do Brendens Dis-Jointed & Soul-Less Routines For Sophie Leave You Cold ?

Are his routines more like Dancing By Numbers With No Visible Passion ?

These are surprisingly not my words but that of another well respected poster, but they do seem to ring true and Poor Sophie does have the look of a Celebrity that has been 'lumbered' as were Poor Lulu and Poor Victoria in previous years.

Do these words ring true for you too?

Even the Fabulous Jason Donavan commented on It, on It Takes Two Tonight and he knows best,

"Brenden is so busy with his stuff, he needs to let Sophie shine more"

It is such a crying shame and yet another waste, to see the pain on Sophie's face on It Takes Two, looking unwanted, unloved and distinctly unhappy, while he is wrapped up in a World of his own

I think the lack of passion and soul is solely down to Sophie. She seems a very cold personality

Oh, Terry wouldn't use such newfangled technology. Even pigeon mail would be pushing it a bit.

Sorry, I was being lighthearted. Maybe it was misconstrued.

Sophie may be a little aloof, but I don't think that it is at all fair to lay the problem at her door.

What Jason said about Brendan's routines has the ring of truth to it. So far only the charleston worked well for Sophie.

Even the awful Jason, eh? Yes, the definitely adds credibility to the opinion.

What makes him think he's such an expert?

Phew, at last a new thread from Terry, I was beginning to get worried that he'd ran out of Brendan bashing ideas

Kelly Brook didn't have much trouble shining when dancing with Brendan

Jason is a very perceptive judge, he has spotted and chosen to comment on what others are choosing to conveniently ignore and turn a blind eye to.,

It was very brave of Jason to expose Brenden on It Takes Two tonight, not many would be prepared to face his wrath of indignation with an honest critique, and for that Jason has to be commended and respected.

Remind me Terry, Chelsee and Harry came where? .... and Holly and Jason finished higher them or?

Oh and not forgetting "Brendan, hold my gaze. Fantastic choreography"

Those were the words spoken by Len and as head judge I think he holds a tad more credibility than Jason Donovan does in terms of knowledge concerning choreography

Lens credibility has long since faded away, he is now more well known for his "pickled walnuts" critiques than any meaningful contributions to Strictly.

Especially when Len knows as much or as little as most viewers about an AT

The Strictly ATs are not really that authentic.

Len still knows vastly more than Jason. I do not see that Brendan is overpowering Sophie or taking centre stage, he even went 'off-stage' during the Charleston. Their partnership seems pretty equal. And their routines seem to been liked by the viewers, e.g. their AT has by far the highest views of last week's routines on youtube with over 42,000 hits so far. Their Charleston has over 200,000 if the two highest videos are added together.
The manner in which Jason was talking came across as being a bit personal, especially the last couple of sentences. If it is his honest opinion OK, but there are other ways of expressing it. Maybe he didn't like the fact that Brendan rated him as the weakest of the finalists on SCD.

Perhaps being born into show business, becoming a child star, having 35 years successful career in the entertainments industry (give or take an alcohol and drug soaked year or two), a track record of success in musical theatre and a chart topping singing career.

Note not a single mention of ballroom dancing.

Terry, your threads are always so original
You obviously put a lot of thoughts into it, I love it

Terry is your dislike of Brendan healthy - surely such animus is at best excessive or at worst obsessive? It must consume much energy which I'm certain you could channel into something much more productive.

It is quite wrong to try and suggest that I am channelling my energy into Brenden Ignazio, and I'm not quite sure what his "animus" has got to do with anything.

I do know that there are some people that say that he can't teach for toffee, but I have always said that he is a talented dancer who has learnt a great deal from the time that he has spent with Anton.
