Think that the rumba is much less about letting yourself go then the party latin. The rumba is more a dance with slow fine lines, which should suit her better (the AT bit on the floor, which the rumba lends itself well to, showed proper acting emotion to me). Mind you, some people will deem it a failure whatever happens. Think the real problem is that Abbey got into the dance off with this dance (it is probably her worst dance left in terms of being voter friendly).

I'd believe Brendan a lot more when he's telling me a dance will be 'special' if he didn't say it every week.

I wonder if they used a different hairdresser on saturday because i completely agree with you on Sophies hair but i also think that Abbi's hair was just a 'nothing' as well!.. and while i am at it!.... Natalies wig i thought was dreadful!!... I think all three of them looked all in all!...... not good at all and it does detract from the dance!...

Hopefully Brendan will do something similar to Aljaz, which neatly avoided the exaggerated hip movements.

Sophie is just so what you see is what you get. Brilliant.

I just don't think she will be able to leave herself a bit exposed and act the romance of the dance. I hope she and Brendan prove me wrong but an aloof Rumba isn't going to work.

I saw that Alijaz tried to cover Abbey's obvious weaknesses in that dance, but it did land them in the bottom two

I don't want Sophie there.

Perhaps they can do a twisty, modern, stiff sort of Rhumba, they're quite popular (although I don't rate them). That might suit Sophie better than a classic sort of Rhumba.

Why does Zoe always wear that horrible, ridiculous top .

I thought Sophie's frame was very good in the QS and no way should have got a miserly 7 from Craig . 9 at the least .

I don't understand these people criticising Sophie and Brendan's partnership . I think they have a great partnership and if they continue with the excellent work they did on sat, she could well be a very strong contender for the glitterball.

Agreed, they've already made up their minds, just like they deemed Sophie's quickstep a "slow-step" before we'd seen anything footage and it turned out to be anything but.

I actually wanted Sophie to get the rumba this week, with them skipping the salsa and leaving the Paso for the semis, and I think she'll put off a decent, if not great, one.

I dont think Sophie will be good at the rumba but I would like to be proven wrong though .

Like I said in another thread, the good news about it, is that she is getting this out of the way now and will only have the paso and salsa left for the Latin which I think that she can do reasonably well but the rumba ? Uhmmm not too sure about that.

Good thinking there edy . I must check to see what Latin the other contenders have left to do .

She seemed quite fluid in the quickstep , I think she may surprise us . What she really needs to find is her emotion for the rhumba its half the battle sometimes.

She appears to be very popular with the other celebs - quite a few now have said they'd like her to win.

I think that she can probably execute the steps properly ( lots of hips action ? Uhmmmm I doubt it ) but in the rumba the emotional connection is really important and at the moment I don't see how she can pull that off.

Or Brendan needs to find an acting coach this week for her .; maybe that will do the trick .

Acting coach is a good option for her & maybe an hour on one of those hip shaking machines lol , She needs something to bring her back into the game as a contender. shes just teetering on the edge at the min.

BIB She is still a contender; always has been since her Charleston in spite of so many shaky performances recently imo. I have no doubts that she will make the finale ; She is really popular .
I think that she is the kind of contestant that whether or not she performs well, people are still going to vote for her (some potential finalists contestants cant afford to have an " off-night " at this stage but she can imo ) .

True, perhaps Brendan can get her husband in and teach them the rumba (he already as enough practise of teaching together with another man). Think that her vulnerability can be played with, makinng it an intimate dance. The biggest problem is that the two weakest contestants have a good draw, so will she have the votes when she ends up low on the leaderboard? Think a score between 30-35 is likely.

I think Sophie should ban her husband from attending this Saturday's main show.

I was just going to write the SCD! Im kind of hoping he has a gig somewhere next Saturday! I think her mother is living the whole experience with Sophie - in fact she should have put her own name down to do strictly!

And if she does, I hope she's paired with either Pasha or kevinfrommotherfcukinggrimbsy. Pairing her with Brendan it would be incestrous...

I doubt she'll be in danger, but it almost doesn't matter if it's bad because Mark is around to take the fall.

I think you're right - Mark will be for it next week, whoever is with him in the bottom two - and it should be Ben.
