I couldn't eat a cooked breakfast after having porridge! I also wonder if he cooked it with milk and sugar or salt and water.

The facade does look rather Royston Vasey, it has to be said.

Also a "full Scottish" with no square sausage? Shocking.

Passed this on Saturday - the rusty pole's still there!

Don't know if it's the same guy that owns it though as the business had a for sale sign outside it for a few months recently (late 2013/early 2014) - still getting reasonable reviews on Tripadvisor, but there are better B&Bs in the area.

Funny to complain about moving from building to building. There's not much Hugh can do about that. I thought his rooms were nice, great activity and good breakfast.

I think the two ladies will prove to be hard work this week.

I find some are too picky about silly little things.

They seem like a pleasant lot this week, i'm not expecting any under hand tactics from any of them, (although it is still early so that could change )

It's not like you cannot see it

I never understand the shampoo/conditioner etc that they expect. I would take my own.

I think the old couple will be the game players. Never trust the oldies

She thought she was being hilarious, going on and on about the "rusty pole", when I think most people were cringing. Can't stand that type of self-indulgent and inappropriate "humour".

Salt and water hopefully...the way it should be!

They used the Hotel Inspector music I noticed. The programmes really are getting more and more interchangable.

Is this a new series?

I thought that this was going to be a repeat - so happy to see it is a new series.

That pot of porridge looked awful - I would not serve that to my guests.

The rusty pole was mentioned too often by the two women guests and I think they may be the ones to watch this week.

Hmmmm, no fireworks tonight, though the 2 women were really irritating especially over the lack of shower caps.If it is that important, take your own, it's not as if they weigh much!
I thought the bedrooms were fine but the outside was very unprepossesing and unwelcoming.

Give it time.

Hugh seemed quite nice but then it was his 'turn'. It'sprobably better to judge him when he's been a guest. The others all have the potential to be bad!

I can't eat it when it's made with milk and sugar. Tried it once and it was horrid.

Yeah it's a new series.

Was I going mad or in the clip at the beginning of the show did anyone hear the Ardrossan hotelier say to the older married couple "Get over yourselves" but in the actual show he said "what about yourselves?" in a general enquiry type way. The subtitles said "get over yourselves" as though it were a confrontation but it really wasn't. Strange.

The rusty pole joke wasn't funny the first time, by the fourth or fifth telling I wanted to ram it somewhere the sun don't shine.

I liked today's place, but I do agree that the outside needs some work.

I found it a little strange that the lady moaning about no shower caps went on to mention on the feedback form that there was no hair dryer, Surely if the most important B & B item is a shower cap then the hair dryer becomes null and void.
