The 'rusty pole' woman flogged that innuendo to death and as others have said it wasn't funny in the first place.

Despite saying she wasn't 'posh', I think her and her friend do have delusions of grandeur, picked up a 'looking down their nose' vibe from them.

It always amazes me, maybe wrongly, that b & b's are expected on this show to provide facilities like hair dryers, toiletries etc, things which to me are more hotel items.

Not sure on the older couple yet, have a feeling there might be a side to them that is not too pleasant.

See post #2507.

Seems nothing has changed.

Just caught up with this.

Agree with what everyone else has said. Exterior looked like an office. Nit picking a bit about flippin shower cap and having to walk next door. Already bored of "rusty pole".

Overall the rooms looked ok to me.

Glad to see this back.

But I hope they don't spend too much time on 'daft' activities (not that I'm criticising the curling in particular)

How many people choose a b&b based on an 'activity' provided by the proprieter? Seems odd to me.

I would prefer to see what the locality has to offer, and I was hoping that they would have taken the boat trip!

Can handle it with some milk but sugar is a total no no. I think that's a trait from south of the border!

Thought at first it would just be more repeats but decided to record it anyway as I hadn't seen an edition from Ardrossan. Just as well then.

Thanks.

I've series recorded it and when I caught up this morning, I actually fast forwarded through the activity. I have no interest in that. I just want to see the actual B&Bs etc..

Missed a great opportunity to see great beaches and fantastic scenery - on the mainland and over in Arran/Cumbrae etc...

Re my previous post (2507) the premises had a huge big "business for sale" sign outside of it for a few months earlier this year - that sign's away now but the business I believe is still for sale due to "health reasons" (as described on the agent's website). Wonder then if Hugh and/or his wife are struggling now?

Plenty of good B&Bs in the area, but to be fair at £65 a night incl. breakfast is good value - shame about the exterior (don't think the gaudy yellow sign helps) - maybe if any of the posters on here have a spare £750k then that would be first on the list of improvements!

I really would liked to have seen more of the area. I've forgotten where it was (or who!) when one of the B&B owners took the group for a walk round his town for his activity, pointing out places of interest, and there were grumblings and mutterings from some of them. I'd have really liked that activity. For most of them you could be anywhere, with no connection to the location.

His room is £115 a night. Must be cheaper for singles.

£125 for this room. I'd be peed off if I paid more than someone else for a smaller room.

That's just what it reminds me of. I wish it had it's own identity.

She won't be getting any more celeb guests staying if she keeps blabbing about them like this.
