No surprise they've given Jo the nicest room.

Jo moaning about the heating. Surely she knows most radiators have a control switch on the side! (roll eyes)

I don't like the bath being in the bedroom at all.

Or in a rut and standards had slipped. She'd stopped questioning the wisdom of what she was doing. Anyone in any business needs to keep reasessing what they're doing.

A week or two ago - when experienced b&b owners were criticising new-ish b&b owners (was it when one of the guys went off on one with the solo woman?) I did say that having been in the business for years didn't necessarily make one a great owner... it could mean that you simply become complacent, in a rut and don't revisit decisions and practices to question if what was right 3 years ago (say) is still right today.

I think that spooning instant coffee into (ugly) mugs is probably her norm - and maybe that's a lowering of standards which has happened over time if she has filter coffee machines / cafetieres available. She simply didn't take a step back and take a hard look at all her automatic routines before hosting the 4iaB bods.

If she had, her vague thought about getting the filter coffee out might have become less vague and she'd have looked sharper and more professional - because otherwise, her breakfast looked good... even with no choice of bacon cuts...

Nice rooms but why do some of them insist on putting their tea and coffee bits almost on the floor? that would do my back in having to stoop down to make a cuppa, have it at waist height.

I'm not sure about it having never stayed anywhere with one like that. I think its just a fad thing that people have started continually copy catting thinking they need to do it in order to be trendy or whatever. Personally I'd rather have a walk in shower with good water pressure.

Imagine the water that must slop over the sides without you getting out yourself dripping wet. Soggy carpets.

This must be something the producers set up, ive seen it too many times at breakfast where the hosts do things they dont normally do, i'm beginning to thing the producers want it to go wrong for good TV
