Yes, the guy was right (sorry, don't remember his name) when he said she'd just defined what being two-faced was! She was all nice to his face, praising his hotel, etc. (supposedly because she "felt sorry for him" ) and then horrible behind his back. Nasty woman.

Next week on FIAB. I've also included the Radio Times info so I hope I've got all the right info in the right place!

Four proud B&B owners do battle to be named the best value. The competition begins at Wallamhill House where owners Gordon and Margaret Hood hope their homely B&B will hit the right note.

The competition kicks off at Wallamhill House B&B in Dumfries and Galloway, where owners Gordon and Margaret Hood are hoping their homely establishment will impress their guests. However, Leanne Vickers doesn't want to get close to the cuddly toys, and Glyn Bufton and Paul Chicken are not keen on the decor.

The second visit is to Thorpe House in Triangle, West Yorkshire, where Carole Kneen plans to give her guests a true Yorkshire welcome, including off-road go-karting.

The owners stay at the Thorpe House Bed and Breakfast in Triangle, West Yorkshire, which is owned by Carole Kleen. The guests are shocked to discover they will be staying at a country manor, but some of the guests are left wanting more character from their accommodation. The proprietor takes her boarders go karting, where rivalry ensues, but it does little to help the host when it comes to receiving feedback.

The third visit of the competition sees the group at The Bridge Farmhouse, where host Glyn has a nautical challenge planned for his guests, and the absence of TVs annoys one visitor.
The third visit of the week is to Bridge Farmhouse in Michaelchurch Escley, Hereford, a 16th-century establishment run by B&B newcomer Glyn Bufton. Gordon and Margaret are less than impressed by the toilet, and Leanne and Alan bemoan the fact they are in a TV-free zone. Glyn and Gordon's rivalry resurfaces when the group heads to the River Wye for a raft-building competition, and Leanne raises expectations at dinner with a spot of name-dropping.

The final visit is to The Talbot Country Inn in Ruyton XI Towns, Shropshire, where Leanne and Alan host, and a blood-stained duvet upsets one pair of guests.
Leanne Vickers and her partner Alan Walsh welcome their guests to The Talbot Country Inn, Ruyton-XI-Towns, Shropshire. Gordon and Margaret are surprised to discover they are staying in a pub, while Glyn and Paul are unhappy to find a blood stain on their duvet. The extra supplement is the talk of the table at breakfast time, while the hosts are left shocked by the negative comments and scores when they receive their feedback.

It's the last day of the competition and there's a tearful walkout as critics are confronted and the payments are finally revealed.

The B&B owners meet one final time to find out what they have been paid. Gordon and Margaret of Wallamhill House kick things off by confronting Leanne about her teddy trouble before dealing with Glyn and Paul's decor dilemma. However, feedback from the Bridge Farmhouse owners proves too much for one contestant, resulting in a tearful early exit and tensions running high as the payments are revealed and the winners are announced.

Wow! Some pretty bizarre responses to the negative reviews on TripAdvisor

I didn't see any responses to reviews?
Mind you if you want bizarre responses take a look at The Alexandra in Llandudno. It featured on Series 5 (think it was episode 24. It was the week with the Windy Bottom place in Kent if you remember that?) It was also on the Hotel Inspector following a fire that'd affected the roof and top floor.

The owner certainly believes in fighting fire with fire rather than discretion being the better part of valour, or something like that anyway

Thanks for the heads up ewoodie, will take a look at next week's places.

That's quite odd really - he seems to double as a hotelier and mortgage adviser.

And those reviews are strange in that some offer glowing praise, and some are absolutely appalling. I did enjoy this though:

The staff tried there best but the lady owner got drunk every night until she passed out making a show of herself leaving her poor husband to do the work including up early to sort breakfast out

Those reviews are enjoyable reading in an aargh kind of way. Several of them mention her drinking, and one said she had a party with some of the guests, with loud music till 4 am keeping everyone else awake.

They really are not a nice couple it seems.

Thanks for the info on next weeks places ewoodie.

The photos on the first link made me chuckle. Its like they decided, "right, we'll have a photo of the house, one of a bedroom, one of the view, oh, and let's do one of two glasses of wine with a bowl of strawberries and a single banana in the background!".
Bizarre.

Numbers 2 and 3 get very good TA reviews. As ever, what the owners are like is going to be one of the most interesting aspects of this though. We'll see...

I have found the best way to record this is to enter each episode individually as stand alone episodes. Series link seems to record everything (as you found out)

Something must have happened for them to not show who won on camera. I reckon the Blackpool owner and the flash guy from day one had a 'slight' confrontation with Miss Forty Years Old having her say too.

Place number one looks like it has no charm or style whatsoever.

Manky looking door bell. That needs a wipe.

I wasn't sure if he said he was 'Paul' Chicken or 'called' 'Chicken'. But, same thing either way really I suppose!
