12 quid extra for brekkie tomorrow is a bit steep.

I really liked the look of the rooms tonight and the beds looked very comfy.
The bathrooms might be a bit tired but they looked well enough equipped and he'll probably update them some time when the place has taken some money.

If we were there a few nights I'd miss a TV I suppose but one or two nights I imagine we'd be in his pub having a good time, which is probably what's at the root of the decision making there

Busy on here today. I feel I missed a lot of that, (of course, my choice!), might have to re-watch the key bits again on +1.

No sign of Carole tomorrow, I think she's pulled out and that's a shame, don't like to see that. She's obviously quite a sensitive soul beneath her 'no nonsense' & slightly gruff exterior.

That bald man's a pain in the neck too though his wife seems much more reasonable in her spoken comments, however I think overall they gave lower marks than the Scots couple who moaned about everything non-stop. I cannot for the life of me see how today's host deserved only 8 points from each couple for the first question, unless something occurred during the activity which I always FF. It's rarely that hosts get less than a 9 in that category and I thought today's host was great.

I didn't think you could you were allowed to pull out just like that?

At £12 per person I will expect tomorrow's breakfast to be gold plated.

I'd expect an absolutely amazing breakfast for that. Even in Central London I can get a lovey breakfast locally for around half that price.

By charging for breakfast tomorrow's hosts are setting themselves up for minimum £12 underpayments, even if everything else is 100%.

8/10 from each for hosting was very harsh. He done nothing wrong whatsoever. The marking throughout tonight was nit pickingly low. Especially bearing in mind the 'yes +' and 'yes - smiley face' responses to 'would you stay here again'.

Well, if you've had enough though it would be very easy to feign illness or concoct a reason as to why you couldn't possibly carry on. I don't think we'll be seeing Carole again this week, I'll be shocked if she's there Friday.

As the guy hosting today said it's not a B&B if the 2nd B is extra.

i dont like to see anyone upset and it would be a shame if the lady who hosted yesterday pulled out because she was upset over the comments, however, it was somewhat ironic that she was so annoyed about the comments when she has made a point of saying that "she tells it how it is, and if people dont like what she says dont ask the question", etc if you expect people to accept that forthrightness from you, you have to be thickskinned enough to take it back.

Do we know for sure that Carol is not going to be there tomorrow? They showed them around the table too quickly for me to work out whether she was there. Speaking of which, I always watch FIAB on 4OD about an hour later so I can avoid the ads, the activities and - a new one this year - the filling in of the forms; I go straight to the owners' reactions; anyway, if I think I saw something and want to go back and pause, it won't let me! Still images are no longer available on 4OD - it now freezes on an ad . Annoying, as I really liked to pounce on some detail or other.

On another matter, I know it's been said a million times, but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around the fact that there is always somebody who doesn't seem to understand that this is a wonderful marketing opportunity, and behave like a***h***s whose B&B comes across as a repulsive proposition because of their character. Even if they themselves for some bizarre reason have refused to EVER watch FIAB, surely if you consider that they must all have families and friends, the number of people involved that would advise them not to be a***h***s on national television increases exponentially.

I give up as I don't think I'll ever understand it.

I think it was Gordon and Margaret who, in their 'how clean was . .' in today's programme, noted there was a small spider climbing up the wall.
A heap of dead spiders or a load of cobwebs in a room is a sign of a place not being thoroughly cleaned but I don't see how you can count a small live spider as a sign of uncleanliness.
(Though they are far from the first people to comment on live spiders crawling around.)

Very true. And I wonder if the extra charge is clearly pointed out when booking. I just tried to have a look via their website but the accommodation page won't load for some reason.

That's fair comment. As I said earlier, if she's pulled out because of the comments she received then she's very much hard shell/very soft centre and is actually a lot more sensitive than she chose to portray herself as being.

Many of us have been thinking the same for years! I can only conclude that a large percentage of participants on this really are either plain thick or just incredibly gullible and get too easily persuaded to 'act up' and nit pick by the production team to the ridiculous degree they do. I know it theoretically would be half as entertaining if this didn't happen, but you'd think some of them would be a bit smarter than it seems they are.

The original 3 in a Bed is back on Channel 4 next Wednesday at 8pm - a long time since it was last on.

I wouldn't be surprised if the producers encouraged her to portray an exaggerated plain speaking persona just because she's northern. ( Really miss the rolleyes emoticon). While I'm sure she is no nonsense - I'm from that part of the world - that doesn't mean she's either rude or insensitive.

I was sad to hear Carol was too ill to take part today, I really hope she comes back, I liked her

Today's place was lovely, but I must admit I would have issue with no telly in the room, I like to watch it in bed before going to sleep. Otherwise it was perfect. Gordon and his wife are just getting on my last nerve now, they are just pathetic in their comments. I suspect they will underpay everyone, but I may be proved wrong.

Tomorrow's show should be interesting, £12 each extra for breakfast I was looking at some of their reviews on Tripadvisor and one of them says the landlady buzzes round the place talking about her sex life! Ooo er!! The bald guy is a bit of a tw*t as well tbh.

Amidst all the speculation I can't see that anyone's pointed out that the Yorkshire woman was shown in the trailer for Thursday as having rejoined the group.

This morning I had two scrambled eggs, home fries, two pieces of toast with butter and home-made jam and all the coffee I could drink for $4.99 (£2.63). It was lovely! (Partly because someone else cooked it and did the washing up, but still...)

Last nights host got on my nerves trying to justify why he didn't have tv's in the rooms.

It's not as if many people would stay in their rooms all day watching tv and even if they did so what? It's not up to him to decide how people enjoy their weekend break or holiday.

I wake up really early, so would like a tv to watch while having a cuppa before breakfast or at the end of the day to sit and relax before or after a shower watching the news or whatever is something I would like to have the option of.
