Richard you can look back through my posts and see that I've made the same observation, even taking into account that some online reviews probably are spurious. There's a definite edge to responses given by both of them and they seem as though they can only deal with glowing praise.

I find that a very strange comment though. Vendors can ask for an increased marketing price for any property, over and above the agent's valuation, but a current business will also have an operating value as well and the books will be open for inspection, so I don't know why you say 'money grabbers'
Actually though, your post's made me think. It's by no means uncommon to find that properties from this programme are either up for sale, or, have changed hands between filming and airing the show.
Perhaps some of the contestants are actually contacted to appear
because the producers trawl sales and marketing listings and that's how they find some of their venues?
It's often the case that the contestants say they haven't seen the programme before taking part, so that could well be part of the producers' modus operandi.
