A B&B has to be cleaned every day The diy breakfast is not a problem if that is explained before you book. I've stayed in some really nice B&Bs over the years and my expectations are more than Bob has to offer.”

I know its odd the way he is about it or was about it (this is an older one i believe), but basically it was clean and they did seem happy enough overall. Yeh the bedding was manky lol, but for £40.00 bed and breakfast in London is a miracle lol.......I believe he was in chiswick which is brilliant for going into centre of London.

Perhaps people by the time they have been out all day (as he said he rarely sees his guests), they are too knackered to worry about a hair in the bed lol....

£60.00 for a double is amazing price.

Overall the house looked kept from the outside and it was his house I suppose which he just allowed people to sleep in and tour London. He was the only one who supplied a communial area where you could just watch the telly, and chill out lol....

All very odd, but he seemed to have had guests lol..... all quite strange but in a way I dont think i would be put off, as it would save a fortune to stay there.

To be honest the only genuine one there is caveman lol at least he is honest.

I thought what he offered for the price was pretty ok in Chiswick in London, yeh the bedding could have new pillows, but overall they had a bed, telly, bathroom, bottle of water lol, and they could make their own breakfast what more did they want for £40.00 a night single or £60.00 for a double in the heart of London chiswick......

I cant stand that fish and chip women she would do my head in, actually porridge women is ok, at least she got stuck into the activity last night and enjoyed herself.

Its quite an odd one lol....but caveman, seems to be happy enough with what he offers and people must stay there....well did.

If you book in advance you can get a decent clean bright Travelodge room in lots of areas of London for about thirty quid (or less!), with an ensuite bathroom and then choose either an all-you-can-eat breakfast for less than a tenner in the restaurant there (at a time to suit you) or go out for breakfast somewhere else.
I'd never risk staying at a B&B in London that was less than £60 cos I'd expect it to be a dodgy doss-house kinda place.

My virginblinkin'media black box has gone into meltdown over 3/4 in a bed. The descriptions rarely match the episode and for the last 3 in a bed I got a completely different programme!

I have given up trying to be selective and letting it record all episodes and am taking pot luck with what I get. Hopefully, I will catch the repeat of the week with the Ammonite Lodge in Chard. I have stayed there a couple of times and although they did ok in the programme it didn't do the place justice. I think the price they quoted in the show was a lot more than I paid. (Sorry if this post is a repeat, I can't remember if I already said it all before)

It was good to have a new series but hairgate was getting on my nerves. I'm sure all those hairs are planted by the production team anyway. The people who go first declaring war on all the rest is also getting ridiculous. They rarely judge on value for money and the 'system' of knocking off a fiver per pube is just point scoring. Like come dine with me when it first started, it was about seeing inside people's lives, looking round their home. All you see now is a mattress with a bloddy pube on it and a lot of manicured nails pointing.

I should get a life 😕

Dodgy is what puts me off staying in someone's home. Read Roald Dahl's short story The Landlady.

Ammonite sounds like something you'd get from B&Q. 'I need a pack of 1" screws, 3 feet of 2x2 and a large tin of Ammonite.'

Cleanliness! I would rather pay more and feel that i am in a nice, well cared for B&B.

The B&B in Chiswick was a joke-more fool anyone who pays him money with his awful attitude.I found him rude, dirty, unwelcoming and very lazy. He has a rather high opinion of himself too, pretentious, arty snob-or do I mean slob?
I don't think I could take too much of Julia, who seems jealous of Gaynor, well if the spotlight's not on her, she will be.

well he has been going for about 5 years now lol....and some of the reviews way back seem fine....I suppose it depends what you want i noticed the worse reviews from foreigners lol, now i have stayed in some rubbish places abroad lol.

I wouldnt stay there personally because i cant share a bathroom i have to be near loo all the time. Yeh it wasnt the cleanest but then i have spent time in cheap hotels and survived lol.... I hate Travelodge they are cold and austere.......and I would never pay 10.00 for breakfast.

Its individual choices at the end of the day. One thing for sure that house will be worth a few bob so he aint poor lol.......

Actually i wonder if it has been brough as i found reviews from another company and the photos were different and the inside of the house much nicer but sure his pictures are still on the wall, perhaps his girlfriend got it sorted out for him lol..after the programme?

http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_R...n_England.html

REally odd as the rooms look much nicer but still some bad reviews amongst good ones, review way back to 2010.

It does! In fact it's named after the fossils as it's just up the road from the Jurassic coast. I stay there when I am visiting Lyme Regis.

If you watch the Hotel inspector, this is the second week running, in the new series, that the people have previously appeared on 4 in a bed. Both of the men a bit unpopular! I haven't watched it yet so I don't know if she works wonders on the Dutchman.

Raj is on a repeat of 4inabed on 4seven now, for those who haven't seen him already and those who want a 2nd dose!

Watched that again on C4 this morning. He was absolutely vile, definitely one of the worst ever.

The worst couple wins again, with their sneaky little underpayments.

I would like to have known what he'd paid everybody though. We were cheated of that last day around the table - it could have been quite explosive!

Call me cynical, but he probably thought he had no chance of winning and his place was going to get slated - over paying everyone was a good card to play to come out of it not smelling of doo-doo.
Strange that the feedback on TA for his place is either very good or very bad.

I actually thought he was the only honest person on there with his girlfriend. Just because he runs a haphazard B&B thats up to him, he must get guests its up to him how he keeps his place. BUT at least he was honest and he did pay properly.

I thought the other underpayments the reasons were ridiculous not so much on his gaff but the other places.

Its all getting silly now. I just watch it but not sure why I do lol......I mean how can you put cavemans (Bobs) place up against other B&B his place was bound to be slaughtered....the end was obvious....well for him anyway.

BUT if you look on his reviews his place does look as though its been tidied up. So perhaps he did learn something after all...he has been going on reviews since 2010.

I can't help but wonder how some of the under payers feel at the end of their week when a known game player wins.... Do any of them think - if only I hadn't deducted so much.......

Gay or could have given the Ammonite the win if she had only paid a few pounds more

Radio Times says it's a repeat. I don't recognise any of them but my memory is really bad.
