Yes, a guest in one of the earlier series asked for a baked egg in the same smarmy manner.
Strangely though there are 67 reviews on Trip Advisor, all excellent except for 2 very good.
A lot commend Mary as a host, so it seems she's much better in real life than on the show.

Strange, the paper has imprint of the others forms on it, do they all write them on top of each other then they are stuck in the book after? you could see all the circles and writing on the page.

Alpine eggs, or swiss eggs (can't remember the name) are lovely- you basically bake them under a huge layer of cheddar.

I'm quite surprised to hear that. She obviously (and probably unwisely), decided to put on a performance for the cameras though.
