Mike is a vile man and his wife awful, to just insult others how they have done all week, well they are the ones with no class.
The others are spellbound by them despite how awful they were! How could they be playing he game if they fully paid he first ones? I compared him to Lennon with his looks, but he also is just like him in the way he could insult someone and be so rude without blinking. |

I suppose the sausage should have been borne aloft on a silver platter, beneath a dome and transferred to said breakfast via tongs!
But frankly for someone who mixes Pork Sausage and Smoked Haddock or Kipper, I might have taken it on a side plate too. Speaking of which, I would expect undyed Smoked Haddock at the Castle, not that which looks as if it was caught around Sellafield. My main gripe against Tash is her nails. They're fine for a night out, but not for kitchen work. Those gel nails stay on for weeks and sometimes have fungal infections as a result. I still feel that I've seen or met both Karen and Mike before, which is why I googled them. I can understand why Jenny had a tear. Tash, Mike and Karen are very overwhelming to a quiet woman, especially when rounded upon and practically being described as boring. A quiet demeanour does not equal lack of a personality Karen. Good thing we're not all the same and well done for the boat trip Jenny. ![]() ![]() How disgusting. Quote:
Interestingly, on the FIAB FB page, amongst the many, many posts about Mike and Karen, up pops Donkey Woman, who, I hasten to add was a member of the FB page, but then stropped off in a huff when comments didn't say what she wanted them to say when her B&B aired.
Now she's back again, trying to tell everyone about the massive editing (yawn) and giving her support to Mike and Karen. She just wont accept that these tv people don't edit what actually comes out of your mouth....... Quote:
BUT they can take them out of context. Perhaps some of it wasnt supposed to be recorded who knows. I know I was told last week by a young lady who worked at Foxy or Roxy whatever it was called 4 days filming, a lot of retakes and when her boss watched the programme it wasnt anything like they expected and she told me there was loads of stuff taken out and not used. I believe her as she had no gripes.
Perhaps after 4 days of being messed about just at one place, the contestants got fed up, tired and fed up. Thats 4 days just at Foxy, so add it on for the rest, 16 hours hanging about filming. She actually said the breakfast were not necessarily even hot......which I believe. I also think that Karen reacted badly the other day over the frozen uncooked bubble and squeek because she was fed up and tired. She looked it too. They all did, and I think thats why their breakfasts are never right because they are retake after retake....... Quote:
On Wednesday, whilst I liked some of the room details, I thought that overall they were too over the top. Especially those dust trap curtains. And the showers should have been polished, as well as water pressure needs to be much better. I also found Tash very ignorant and rude. No need to mention the creepy host sitting there at breakfast time, everyone has already done that for me.
Last night, again, Tash was being very rude IMO. The rooms were overpriced. Isn't it funny how that Castle woman, whose name I can not remember, was nowhere near as posh and contrived as when with her husband? And her posh accent kept disappearing as soon as she really started going with her conversation. I do not get the flat- pack furniture hate though- these rooms get used a lot, it makes no sense spending loads of money on something that gets worn quickly- I would rather the investment went into good quality mattress, bedding, towels and cleanliness. Tonight should be fun! ![]() Quote:

What did you think of their rude comments about Norfolk? ![]() And finally, I'm so pleased Mike and Karen didn't win. The fact they came last is a wonderful added bonus! ![]() ![]()

Just watching on catch up. I'm finding it really ridiculous that they use the payments to penalise people for trivial things rather than paying for value. Her sausage was raw, he took it without fuss and recooked it - problem solved so why is she still penalising him £3 for it? petty buggers.

Hewoodle, I believe they were captivated by them as they repeated it back to camera when they were on their own too. Take the first hosts, they had received full payment from the quieter couple, yet they said they were playing a game as the vile couple had just said it.
All the sucking up too! At least us here can see what those two were. |

Tommo what did you think of their rude comments about Norfolk?
![]() Wortwell is actually in a lovely position. It is a country village, close to wonderful places. The East coast is close; the lovely historic city of Norwich is only a few miles away; there is a superb restaurant nearby, etc etc. For a base for exploring the immediate locality, and Norfolk in general, Wortwell is ideal. I remember Mike saying he wouldn't welcome one of the pairs back. Well, I don't think Norfolk would welcome Mike back! |

I know tv loves a pantomime villain more than ever but there was nothing in the slightest likeable about the gatehouse, sorry, castle, couple. Underneath their laughable delusions of grandeur lay one pair of downright nasty individuals who should have been nowhere near a tv programme like this. A line was definitely crossed.
Unfortunately I think it's another sign of the programme having peaked and the producers widening their criteria to keep it going. |
