You'd have thought so, I agree.

I wouldn't like to think that the producers either staged the drama to get people talking and increase their ratings OR influence the papers not to report it and avoid negative publicity.

One thing to consider is how far ahead these shows are filmed and that they have signed non-disclosure agreements of some kind. Maybe by the time the show went to air and those NDA were expired, most of the locals had forgotten about it.

I quite liked her! She was eccentric, yes, but I don't think she ever meant to be hateful. (Unlike some of the contestants!)

If there is a pending court case – which rumours suggest there is – I don’t think the papers are allowed to report on it until it has been heard.

Watching a repeat today, a few of the contestants covered the 'Would you stay here again?' while they read the rest of the feedback.

It actually added a new element to the anonymous feedback and imo Channel4 should learn from it and either initially cover the answer to this question or put it on a separate page and to hear their prediction on whether they'd stay again before the reveal.

I am sure there is a FIAB owner that is going to be on The Hotel Inspector.

I know I have seen him before but not sure if it was FIAB

One of the B&B owners on this series was on The Hotel Inspector The really anal guy who kept getting into an argument with the other anal guy about a kettle. Plus of course the Artists Residence.

Really! The people in these shows do get around a bit

I have only watched one episode of THI and this bloke just stood out. It's bugging me as I know I have seen him in something and can only think of FIAB.

Is it one of the new episodes starting this week or an older episode?

I've just seen the trailer Bella and it's the guy who owns that huge B&B in Llandudno. He was a Scientologist or a minister from one of those weird religious cults. I've just googled it and it's John Humberstone from the Alexandra Hotel.

Neil and John from Vidella B&B Blackpool (same week as the redoubtable Mrs Tee) are on Hotel Inspector next week.

It seems their 'pranks' aren't always a hit with guests...

Living in Blackpool, it's always fun for me to go for a walk and find a hotel/b&b that's been featured on either of those shows.

Just over the week-end I happened past the hotel with the mad woman who had themed rooms (Narnia/Dalmations/Barbie) and charged an outrageous fee for them. She was featured on Hotel Inspector. It's closed and boarded up now but the little garden gnomes are still there. Across the street from it was The Granville Hotel (3 in a Bed), and a few weeks ago on the tram I went past The Elgin Hotel (FIAB) which looks like it's under renovations. There's no shortage of b&b's here, I can say that much.
