I'm fed up! The plug on my Macbook Air is broken. It was working fine this morning and in college all day. I'd been using it on battery since L.A.'s lecture at 5 and I hadn't had a chance to plug it in. I get home, plug it in and it doesn't work. At first I thought there was something wrong with the socket or the electricity, but I plugged my Nexus 7 charger into the same socket and that worked fine. I went upstairs to get my Macbook Pro and I'm now using that. So now I have to go the Apple shop on my way to college and I might have to take my Pro to college. I haven't taken it to college since January 15th.

It maybe the same problem I had with my ipad a few weeks ago. I'd ask Parker, but he's still not come home from his night out on Saturday.

The Mac itself is still working, it's just the charger that isn't working. It means I can't use it as once it runs out of battery it does. The strange thing is that it was working fine before my lecture with L.A. at 5 so I know who done it

I bought it in John Lewis in London and I rang up before and asked them. It's not as simple as them handing over a new plug. They wanted to see the whole Mac! I don't want a new Mac, I want the current one. I'm not replacing my Macs 'til they snuff it. He is

I bought my ipad in PC Word, but the Apple store still replaced it when it went wrong, same with my iphone I had from 3. If they're still under warranty, the new mac will be free of charge. He is.....Bet he'll be home by Friday though, otherwise he'll miss his slot! Although I think he's already been filling plenty of slots over the past few days!

Macs cost the same everywhere, but I went there because you get 2 years free warranty with every Mac! We buy all our tech from there (except my smartphone - I bought that in London as well but I had to go to Phones 4 U for that). Dad bought his laptops and Surface tablet from there and I bought my Nexus 7 and iPod there as well. The customer service is excellent. When dad's Acer laptop snuffed it in summer 2012 he was given £600 towards the cost of a new laptop to replace it as the laptop wasn't repairable. I don't really want a new Mac though as I'm happy with the one I have
