I recently went to a gig for a band called July Child at Borderline in tottenham Court Rd, London. Was absolutely brilliant, great warm up acts and a great new band. They are still relatively young in their development but the vocals and production are sublime. Definitely worth watching out for in the future. You can listen to one of their tracks here http://feetupeyesclosed.wordpress.co...1/15/futility/

Actually that's an idea. My dad rarely listens to anything I say as he's always playing with his Surface tablet When I get home tonight I can say that I thought L.A. looked lovely in today's lecture and see if he's listening or not

Yep I'll use those lines or a variation of it I'm willing to bet this Mac that dad won't listening. He'll be so engrossed in his Surface tablet that it won't even register that I'm talking about my lecturer as though I'm her lover

Haha or he'll catch the tail end of the sentence and immediately panick
cnbcwatcher

Well that could happen too, but if he isn't listening then he won't even know what I'm on about I can't wait to try it!

Yeah or maybe it happens during flight attendant training US Airways flight attendants (and I assume other airlines) have to go through recurrent training every year. Could be interesting

Probably not big enough on here to have his own thread, but Flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia died recently.

He's probably most famous in the UK for playing with Bryan Adams on "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman"
