I know I've done 700+ words and it needs to be a minimum of 1,500 and I at least half to go but it's okay my lecturer said worse comes to worse drop it in Friday.

I think you'd better work bitch If you do you'll have it done in no time! What's your lecturer like? Are they a strict but nice L.A. type, a crazy fairy one type, a lenient RK type or are they like the cats?

No it's not too bad my lecturer has been pretty fair with this one. It's just that it's literature so it can be quite convoluted and difficult trying to pin the text to support your argument but I will get it done .

Oooh sounds complicated. I studied it at AS Level and that was enough for me! Probably would have been fine if the teachers had been in frequently to be fair. We were left alone most of the time.

It's not too complicated just looking at how Is Gatsby Great? And hate those lecturers for ever wondering why your not doing well or struggling and its like hello

We studied Gatsby at AS Level. I re-read it recently before the film came out and I'd forgotten that

Spoiler

It was lovely to be able to read it without studying it and pulling every paragraph apart and analysing it.

I actually enjoyed it more pulling apart all the different themes etc as beforehand I found it quite boring but on analysis Fitzgerald was a bloody genius it has so much packed into 172 pages. It was very sad the ending how true the rich get away with so much whilst the poor suffer.

Oh that's good Some lecturers are like that. RK is always very fair with assignments and he doesn't really care about word count or if it's handed in a bit later than usual. L.A. on the other hand is a stickler for deadlines and she makes us bitches work, but in reality she's very nice I saw a different side of her when I cried in her office last week.

I'm ok, just messing around online and drinking tea I emailed L.A. about asking to use her name as a reference for my Masters application and she hasn't replied yet, but she might reply in the morning. She rarely replies in the evenings. I went to her office earlier but she wasn't there. I was kinda glad as I couldn't face going into her office again after crying in front of her last week, even though she was really nice

Well that's true I'm probably not likely to cry in front of her again but I don't think I could face her for a while At least she was nice to me It was her idea to let me stay with her. I had been talking to her and I started crying and she asked me if I wanted to sit down, which I assumed meant she wanted me to stay in the office with her for a bit. I duly did. I'd say I was in there for at least 10-15 minutes, I don't really know.

I'm ok, I'll be off to college soon. Haven't heard from L.A. yet. I emailed her last night about the reference thing and she hasn't replied. I might have to go to her office and see if she's there

I'm catching up with Hollyoaks. I would usually catch up with it all on a Saturday morning but I'm determined to actually do something this weekend. I'm sick of sitting indoors on my days off.

Cool. How's the personal statement going?
