You are preaching to the converted. Re-releases detract from what should be one body of work the album. Re-releases are ploys to make extra cash witj no concern for artistry.

I'm no fan of rereleases. It's just another ploy to make money and get more sales. It's bad really. It's ruined the concept of an album. I like albums which are just one piece of art as opposed to different versions (deluxe editions for example).
Exactly. I wonder if the artists have any control over re-releases? I was just out in the garden. Plants needed watering again

I agree whilst I'm angry with Ellie for re-releasing twice I have a sneaking feeling she was more or less coerced into it. either way it's annoying and should stop.

Ellie re-released both her albums, didn't she? That's ridiculous. Why did she do that? Anyway what are you up to? Anything interesting?

She did well her debut did well but the label I assume wanted more sales. And with Halcyon the album was doing really well and INYL came out and as the record was not that commercial they wanted more commercial singles after the success of INYL so re-released the album when really she should have just recorded an all new album. And nothing much you ?

It sounds like the re-release of Halcyon was a bit pointless. Maybe what she should have done was just released a new album or a couple of EPs with the new songs. How many extra songs were put on the re-release? I was just watching the NBC Nightly News and drinking tea Riveting

It was CNBc and ruined the original album with far poorer material . and she had the standard and deluxe so between 8 and 10 (Ep or new album most definitely).

What's everyone up too?

Afternoon

Watching an episode of sex and the city on Comedy Central. I didn't realise that they could show this during the day. I don't know what I've done with the final disc of my complete box set. It's gone missing

Afternoon Mimi! Is the Sex and the City episode uncut or are certain parts removed? It's not my kind of show but I am surprised they would show it in the daytime, especially when kids would be just home from school and watching TV.

I would imagine that it's edited. Some of the language can be quite crude.

I'm watching "The Secret Life Of Cats" on catch up. It's fascinating

Did they bleep out any language or anything like that? I've never watched it so I don't know what it's really like. I caught a bit of that the other night but I didn't get to watch it in full.

I'm rather pissed off at the moment. It's about the L.A. situation (which is still sort of going on!). Now my mum thinks I'm obsessed with her or in love with her or something like that and I think she's talking rubbish. Why would I fall in love with one of my lecturers? It's almost as bad as the lads who thought I was sleeping with her She even thinks I should go to a different college to get away from her and I won't do anything like that. I'm wondering if it's to do with the fact that I cried in her office at the beginning of April over personal issues? Parents, huh?

They don't bleep anything out but I think that they cut scenes altogether.

Do you speak about LA a lot at home then? do you think that your mum has your best interests at heart?

That makes sense. There probably are scenes in it that should be cut out for daytime TV. Well during the term I did as I spent a lot of time with her. I was doing essays for her and I had her for two subjects (Labour Law and Equity and Trusts). She also supported me during a hard time in my life. I even cried in front of her. She's a good lecturer and nice person. I tried not to talk about her at home too much but sometimes I can't avoid it. Maybe mum is afraid that I fell in love with her and if it did I would mean I was bi or lesbian and she could be uncomfortable with it. There's also the issue of conflict of interest with exams and all that. She could just be worried about me, I don't know.
