I'm watching Harry potter whilst putting my computer back to factory settings. I can't wait for it to just be normal again.

Prisoner of Arkansan. It's almost finished now

It had viruses and was incredibly slow. So much so that it was virtually unusable.

I was thinking about the fact that Voldermolt isn't in it earlier on. I'd never considered it before. I'm watching "Wimbledon" now,

I hope that my laptop is going to be okay. Usually I'd take it to someone to wipe it for me but I'm strapped for cash right now. I've been told that it's fairly easy to do. We'll find out in about an hour or so.

Yeah I can't remembering realising it but suddenly going oh no voldy. Plus it fills in some great gaps and really begins to flesh out and build up the wizarding world .

And hopefully it works out for you so you can avoid another expense.

How did your laptop get infected with viruses Mimi? Did you have antivirus software on it at all? Or could it be something sinister like The Wand?

I used to watch TV and films on my laptop sometimes using 1channel.ch. can't imagine that it was all that good for my computer.

Haha I have nothing to be guilty of. They could check my 'net history and mostly find DS, Facebook and amazon.

My brother has used my laptop a couple of times though. Maybe that has something to do with it....

Ah that might have something to do with it. I've never used that site but it sounds a bit dodgy to me. I've got a Mac but I can still pick up Windows viruses and if those ended up on a Windows machine the user could be infected. Did you keep antivirus software updated regularly and if so which software did you use?

I have a computer again! Took at least two and a half hours but it was worth it. I just need to put all of my music back into iTunes. That's going to take some time. This is my main reason for buying CDs as opposed to downloading.

CNBC - I had AVG which I was told is the best on the market. I did run the check regularly but I was never sure of how to actually get rid of viruses. I have a month's free trial of McAfee but after that I'll be downloading AVG.

Glad you got it working! As for your music, might I suggest going and buying an external hard drive to back up all your music and other files on so that if it ever crashes again you can just plug the drive in and copy your files over? You get them in Currys PC World.

As for AV software, AVG might be the best of the free ones but our preferred AV software is Kaspersky and it does work. Get rid of McAfee! That software is a pile of cack. Here's how to uninstall it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKgf5PaBzyg
