Thank you.

I've been trying to avoid the royal baby news too. The press go mad over royalty and I don't know why. Thousands of babies would have been born yesterday, they get no special treatment.

I went out for a whole yesterday because I needed to do some shopping and also to get away from the TV and royal baby news. There are more important things happening in the world than the royal baby. I see that and the election, amongst other things, are the current news items at the moment. I'm not watching TV now though, I'm finishing an essay. I've one nearly done and I've some work done on two others. I should have 'em done in time if I get to work bitch

Me too. Yesterday the biggest story of the day was a woman going into labour as though it were a very rare occurrence. To me it was yawn

It is election time, so not that rare I don't know anyone who's voting for Labour though. Are you going to vote?

Morning

Any plans for bank holiday Monday? I'm working until 5.

I'm watching "Secret Smile" on TV. Forgot that I recorded it at 2am. I don't know why ITV are only repeating the first episode and not the second too.

Yep, I'll be voting and it is looking like it will be Alliance as they are the future of Northern Ireland. DUP are just batshit crazy and Sinn Fein won't turn up.

Not that it will make a blind bit of difference, of course.

I'm at work today but I can see it being pretty quiet so I could spend the day talking bollocks on Twitter

Rescuing us from page 2!

How are you all? I have a day off before continuing at my new job tomorrow. Looking forward to being paid on the 20th. I've just started reading "Mockingjay" in the Hunger Games series so I'm looking forward to buying the boxset and watching the films back to back.

What have you all been doing?

I'm looking forward to election day - the media will have to, by law, talk about something else

I've just finished preparing dinner so now I'm relaxing watching "In Bruges". I've only seen this film once and I enjoyed it then.

I'm finding my Equality Law essay harder than I thought L.A.'s a bit of a perfectionist and I want to do a good job or she'll crack that whip She runs a tight ship, so beware!

I wonder what an equality law class tailored to Northern Ireland would look like.

Imagine if it were devised by the DUP

I dread to think The amount of bias in it would be unbelievable. It's different down here in the Republic though. There's no bias or anything and politics never really comes up, although we did have someone who used to work in the Equality Authority in as a guest speaker a couple of months ago. I don't even know what my lecturer's political leanings are or if she even follows politics!

It's voting day!

Think I've finally decided who I'm voting for. I'm going to put my vote in when I finish work at 2pm.

Listening to Lana Del Rey's "Ultraviolence" to pass the time before work. I've arrived early, as per usual.

What political party are you voting for Mimi? I can't vote here in Ireland (tried postal vote for the 2010 election but it didn't work out) but if I was over in England today I don't think I'd bother going to the polling station. All the speculation it might be a hung parliament again would put me off

I wouldn't have anticipated you being able to vote here as you live in Ireland. Depending on whether you lived in a relatively marginal seat, your vote would have made a bigger difference than usual with a hung Parliament likely!

I suddenly realised a musical political connection yesterday. I reckon my 2nd-5th favourite songs of all-time have been from General Election years! These are as follows:-

5 Tasmin Archer:- Sleeping Satellite 1992
4 Natalie Imbruglia:- Torn 1997
3 Beatles:- I Feel Fine 1964
2 Alan Price:- Jarrow Song 1974
1 Beach Boys:- Do It Again 1968 (so, not a General Election year)

I voted before work for the Lib Dems sister party in Northern Ireland, the Alliance party.

Morning

I've got to go and get some new shoes for work. I could do without it. I'd rather just sit on the sofa today and catch up with TV.

I've got the all day shift tomorrow at work and then I'm off until Thursday.

Does it take you longer to get over the hangover now? I'm 23 but I hate hangovers. I'd rather not drink because I can't deal with them. I don't drink very much at all.

What are you all doing today? I'm gonna catch up on the tv that I've missed this weekend whilst looking for a job that's a little more permanent than the one that I have right now.
