She accused me of following her around college and she felt I became overdependent on her. I did go to her office a lot and maybe she felt uncomfortable with it. I had to sign a document sayin I wouldnt do it again or go to any event she's speaking at
Do you have anyone else that you confide in when you need to talk? Branch out and meet some new people.

I do, but I got on really well with this lecturer and she helped me in 2014 and 2015 when I had some personal problems. This whole situation is partly why I'm gonna be doing my PhD through a different university. I couldn't be a student in that law school after what happened. And what's worse is that she told the head of the law school and he summoned me to his office the other week. I haven't heard anything else since I signed the document.

I changed my car at the end of March and I've had a lot of trouble with it lately. It was second hand anyway but the person who sold it must have known that there were issues. I've already spent too much on it anyway so I'm just gonna get rid of it. I'm looking at cars online at the moment. I hate not having a car. I feel trapped without it.

I'm spending the day catching up with Season Four of "Nashville". I didn't realise how many episodes I'd missed. I do like saving episodes up to watch in bulk though. I watched the first three seasons on DVD. I waited for it to finish before watching it all back-to-back.

Distance sounds like the right thing though. It sounds as if she felt that you were relying on her too much. What do you parents think of this whole situation?

It might be for the best but it is a shame as I got on well with her, even though I didn't like her initially. It all started in April 2014 when I cried in her office over some personal problems 😢👩🏻🏢🐐🎮 She was very nice about it and let me sit in her office til I was better (actually I posted in this thread about it the night it happened!). I became attached to her after that and I thought she had an emotional connection with me because of my breakdown in her office. She helped me through a tough time in 2014 and 2015 and I did become dependent on her. I went to her office a lot.

When I came back in September she was very distant with me and threw me out of her office at the beginning of term. I think she got fed up with my frequent office visits and maybe felt I was hanging around her all the time. I haven't told my parents about the contract or the fact she went to the head of the law school about it. My mother thinks I have a crush on this lecturer She constantly takes the bright yellow liquid out of me. I don't fancy this woman but I must confess she's not the ugliest lecturer in the law school. A lot of the lads like her. I'll have to show you a photo of her, maybe via Twitter. She dresses very smart and professional (but more casual during the summer) and doesn't look at all like a stereotypical academic (she doesn't wear tweed and smoke a pipe!), although she owns a gown like most lecturers. I sent you a DM on Twitter with the terms of the contract.

Favourite album of the year goes to "The Weight Of These Wings" by Miranda Lambert, for me. It only came out a couple of weeks ago but I absolutely adore it. It's a double album and the second disc is just as good as the first. She can do no wrong, in my eyes.

I can't wait to see her when she plays in London next year.

Britney's "Private Show" perfume is lovely. I'd like to add it to my collection soon. The song isn't great but it's an earworm!

What are you all up to? I've just taken a look at my Christmas hours for work and they're not too bad. Sadly I am working on Christmas eve but I'm not in on New Year's eve thankfully. I have no car at the moment so I'm spending my day off watching re-runs of shows on Netflix. I'm switching between Gossip chGirl and Pretty Little Liars. I'm trying to watch the latter again because I got a little lost by season six.

Anyone else not feeling at all festive this year? I think that I'd happily sleep through it.

Hope you enjoy it. I like some of the Cure's stuff.
It is bound to feel a drag working Christmas Eve being a Saturday. I prefer New Year's Eve off to Christmas Eve off. Shall I share a little secret with you here?
Spoiler

The 3 hits from the Cure I like best are A Forest, Inbetween Days & Just Like Heaven.

I've seen a lot of Buzz for Miranda's album MImi, I think if I'm right she has gotten a fair few noms at the big awards Ceremonies including the Grammy's .

I've been listening to the Civil Wars and Joy Williams again absolutely great duo and solo artist. If you like Country/Folk definitely for you.

Also finally got around to listening to Christine and The Queens easily in my top five albums of 2016. Alos It has fast become one of my favourite songs and brilliant subject matter.

Evening.

How are you all?

Is anybody else not feeling at all festive this year? It's been a really painful year for me so I have absolutely no interest in being awake for the festivities. I'd happily sleep through it. That is the plan, if my family allow it which I can't see them doing, sadly.

Working in retail over the festive season doesn't help. I'd give anything not to listen to Xmas music but unfortunately that's all they've been playing for the last four weeks. I can't wait until the 2nd January when it's all over.

The Weight of These Wings is a fantastic album. A double-disc album is a massive risk but it's paid off for Miranda, in my opinion. I absolutely adore the album and her.

BIB - I absolutely love(d) The Civil Wars and I was gutted when they went their separate ways. I've followed Joy's career post-civil-wars intently and she has produced a wonderful album in "Venus". Have you heard the original release or the new acoustic release? I love both. I was surprised with the production on the original studio release as I was expecting a more acoustic sound but it's wonderful.

She takes the time to reply to people on Twitter a lot too, which I respect. I've taken part in a few of her live Facebook chats and she seems like such a lovely lady. Her voice is absolutely beautiful.

I listened to John Paul White's album "Beulah" when it came out and that's good too. Admittedly I haven't listened to it as much as Joy's offering but it is a good album, nonetheless.

I wasn't as I had uni and work up until last Thursday so was a bit non festive, but I got back to Wales yesterday so most definitely am now . And you never know the day might yet surprise you, if noy you can just steal a bottle of wine and skulk off it's what I do

And yes double discs are always a tad risky, Kate Bush Aerial is one I love but they take alot of time. I'm glad it worked out well for her though and I think I might test her out.

And I listened to the original of Joy's album like you I was surprised by the chnage of direction but it is a great album. And yes smae The CW's ended in such a manner and er may never know truly why.

At the moment for me Christine and the Queens is on loop especially IT, such a fantastic song.

Evening

Two more days of work until I break up for Xmas. Even better I have time off from the 30th December.

I'm surfing the 'net whilst watching season one of "Nashville". I love this program.

I started watching "Vampire Diaries" this morning. Heard great things so I'm looking forward to getting into that. I've completely caught up with "Pretty Little Liars " and I have to wait until April for more.

Hey Mimi, that is great news. Have you any plans for NYE ?

And I love Nashville I still haven't finished series 4 and it got a bit soapy, but I do so enjoy it .

I'm currently listening to Everything But The Girls- Walking Wounded album. If anyone likes late 90's trip-hop, jungle inflected pop it's a frat relaxing listen and Tracey Thorns voice is beautiful.

We had EBTG playing on a jukebox in the pub earlier whilst having lunch.

I have no plans for NYE. This year's been really painful and I don't have a reason to celebrate it. Honestly, I'd happily take a load of sleeping pills and sleep through it. I'll only end up in tears otherwise. I'd rather not feel anything.

You?

It was one of those albums that I've been meaning to listen to for years glad I did can see it being a staple, much like the Todd Terry remix of Missing.

And I'm sorry to hear that Mimi, 2016 has been a year I think we would all like behind us . But I'm hoping 2017 is better and brighter fir you.

I'm going back to Bristol after Christmas and then me and my two housemates/friends are going to Bath for a change of scenery this year 😊.

I usually prefer the week after Christmas to the 2 or 3 weeks before. I am therefore relieved that Christmas is just about over and looking forward to the rest of the week.

Today I watched my Louise: Woman in Me video and was able to record it onto a DVD. I shall donate the video to a charity shop this week. I transferred a selection of other video recordings to DVD intermittently by the end of August.

So, I think this is my 14,999th post. I have decided what my 15,000th post will be about. I shall post it on Friday.

I'm relieved now that Christmas is over and there's only New Year to celebrate. I'm heading to see the Miracle on the Hudson movie (Sully) on Friday night. It should be good. I'm fascinated by the whole story and I've been dying to see the movie ever since I first heard about it.

Yes I thought so too. I didn't realise that he was only 53. I didn't think that he was much older than that, but still too young to die. He died peacefully at home which suggests that it was an illness. Glad he's at peace now though.

David Bowie's death was the one that broke my heart. Absolutely adored him.

Yes he had been ill for some time so it seems like Amy before him his body just gave up . Bowie was such a heartbreaker too as well as Prince. 2016 has been very unkind to music lovers .
