The thing is, Zooey isn't that talented, in the sense she plays the same characters in every role. She is a much better vocalist and songwriter than an actress. If you watch every single movie role, plus her character in New girl, she can only play goofy nerdy quirky shy women. For me a talented actress is someone who has range. Zooey doesn't.

I do understand what you are saying and I agree, to be honest. She tends to play the same characters all the time. Hugh Grant is another one who springs to mind.

What are you all listening to this evening?

I'm listening to fellow DSer's x+y's radio show on GTFM at the moment.

I don't mean to sound like I am slagging her off because she can act and is a lovely person in interviews, but when it comes to acting, i much admire and like those who have range. Meryl Streep being a great example.
