The battery died yesterday as I left my charger in work. So I charged the battery for a few hours today, now it won't start up again. I've tried plugging it into my laptop and connecting it to itunes, but the icon for the ipad is not displaying in My Computer when I plug it in. I've also tried pressing both the power and the home button together and still nothing happens.

I don't think you can charge an iPad through a computer, at least not a PC. Maybe thru a Mac but I don't know as I don't own one. I do own a tablet but I went for a Nexus 7. Your best bet is to plug it into the mains overnight and if that doesn't work you need to get yourself to the Apple Store and get the Geniuses (or is it genii) to sort it out.

Hey X+Y hope your good

And it's a sad truth indeed CNBC

And I don't think moustache and glasses will cut it, best invade in a wig too
I know The little twit shouldn't get away scot free with his crimes against music and what he was arrested for today. I have a wig that's attached to what looks like a top hat, but it's fancy dress and might look ridiculous I was considering dying my hair blonde but I don't wanna look like Doreen I notice there was no mention of her or Sheila last week and I thought that was strange considering it was the anniversary of the Hudson crash

I charged it through the mains for approx 3 hours. I was able to switch it on again once I was connected to the power. I left it alone to charge, when I got back to it the ipad had switched itself off. I've not been able to switch it back on since. I tried to see if I could reboot the ipad by plugging it into my PC, but when I go into My Computer, the ipad icon doesn't appear.

I'll have to take it into the apple store tomorrow. According to this http://ipad.about.com/od/iPad_Troubl...ot-Turn-On.htm I may have hardware problems as I've done the above, plus it's strange how when I connect it to a PC, the PC doesn't recognise it either.

Anyway thanks for your time CNBC. Also Hi Hav

That could work I could also dye my hair dark red and cake myself in make up. As long as I don't look like a Hudson hero I'll be fine

I don't think I'd be mistaken for a Hudson hero as neither of them wear much makeup I just don't want my lecturer to recognise me. I got caught by her earlier coming outta the library after returning a book

Oh no, X+Y, hope you manage to get your iPad working again.

I've just ordered Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black". I'm really looking forward to it arriving. I've been meaning to add this album to my collection for quite some time.

She can be and I just didn't want to talk to her. Last semester, I had a meeting with her and one of the lads thought me and the lecturer were sleeping together I got really angry with him and said I'd sooner eat live bees washed down with sulphuric acid than talk to or sleep with her Anyway nothing inappropriate happened but I don't wanna risk it.

Thanks Mimi. So do I.

I keep meaning to add Back To Black to my collection, but I'm not paying 10 for it. If I do get it, I want the deluxe version (the one with Valarie on)

I think that lad had a mind like a bloody sewer Now one of my friends claims he's sleeping with her. It's not a mental image I want Even the mental images of Sheila and Doreen aren't as bad as that!

I've tried that but she still sees me and I had my iPod in when she caught me earlier. I was listening to Britney That might be helpful
