Just wanted to say, the orginal waltz, pure waltz and class, foxtrot elegant and took you back to Fred and Anne miller, argentine tango so fresh, a cool and technically good samba, and a Charleston captured it all, no stupidity, gags just cool, sophisticated and phenomenal routine

Can't wait for a qudikstwp at ballroom, he's throne pro who doesn't spend ten bars out of hold and then two bars in hold then done, its the best routines, technically half the others would have been dq as nor enough content..

and to top he plays to sophies strengths and most just show off to take attention off their partners...

Congrats Brendan good luck to you both tonight

Whilst I can't fully support your lavish praise for Brendan, I do think he puts his heart and soul into trying to do his best by his partner, and last week's AT choreo was excellent.

I really like Sophie, and I'm getting rather fed up with all the Brendan bashing that seems to be in vogue on here this year tbh, so I too hope they do really well tonight.

I hope that Sophie's dance isn't like a qudikstwp but I don't have high hopes

I like Brendan's traditional approach when it comes to ballroom dances and in that respect so far he hasn't disappoint. Not keen on his latin styles. But he did get a lot of flack recently which set my teeth on edge. Hope he and Sophie perform a marvellous quickstep tonight!

I agree with OP!
I love the earlier series when there was classical dancing, complementary music and no faffing around with props! Even the pro dances are getting ridiculous. Bring back the old Strictly!

On a side note: At least they are back in Blackpool and not Wembley.

I love Brendan and his imagination unfortunately the lack of passion and soul displayed by Sophie leaves the routines somewhat cold.

Think this may have tempted fate. From the publicity shots looks like the Brendan and Sophie may head the prop leader board tonight with chair, table, chaise longue, champagne plus bucket and 3 liveried waiters.

I don't have a favourite pro - I judge them on their results; but there's no doubt in my mind that Brendan is up there with the best. Given a partner who tries their best he is considerate and supportive and he choreographs to showcase their strengths - not to showcase his own talent. That's more than can be said for others.

I am saddened that with a brilliant dance for the floor space at Blackpool they have cluttered it up with props & extras.

Why not show off a beautiful QS routine utilising the full space available?

Sorry but I cannot agree on that.
He always looks to me as though he is the star and he just tolerates his partners.

Jason Donovan pointed out his ego too.

Is this from the training clips? I too was hoping they would leave the props back in Elstree and let us enjoy the dancing at Blackpool .

Perhaps they are being sponsored by a home furnishings retailer. Do DFS have a sale coming up? Sorry silly question - DFS always have a sale coming up.

The more she sits and the more they both faff about, the less they have to dance.

A typical Brendan routine. Wonder if he will lift her from one prop to the other, doing poses in between?

Surprise me Brenda dear. Be original for once?
