Kimberley's paso-themed halloween dance featured lots of her performance.

Unlike most I loved Natalie's music, I loved Artem too. I didn't love Natalie so much, but then I don't take to her although she is a class dancer.

I neither love or loathe Susanna but I loved her Paso. The passion she and Kevin delivered tonight make them my winners this week.

Susanna a bit part player in this routine.

But you are NOT watching her.

I guess that is technically wrong even if it looks good. I recall Torvill & Dean' s paso on ice, Jayne was skating as much as Chris as it was danced virtually all in hold ( as per the ice dance rules) but her expression and presentation was mostly passive, Chris was the star in performance terms. It was a great team effort still, though.

The last bit when Kevin threw Susanna on the floor, it exactly reminded me of Chris and Jayne's Paso dance on ice! I loved that routine by C&J!

I've watched them again and susanna wins for me. Passionate and excellent shaping. Interestingly, I watched them both on mute as well. Natalie's was much better for me on mute but not memorable or stand out like susannas

The original set pattern dance with the black and white costumes? Jayne was unusually subordinate to Chris in that, playing the part of the cape.

Natalie's every time.


I do have to admit here that I've actually seen neither.

Nothing wrong with that. I have Natalie's Jive as my favourite dance from week 7. It looked good on paper.

I couldnt understand some of the dislike for Suzanne until tonight

I liked her dance but was totally put off by her lying waiting for her applause and ovation even my hubby said "whats she waiting for? her bouquet of flowers?"

I watch the breakfast news every morning and the coy 'Im not worthy of a 10' did not gell with what I see on a morning to what I saw tonight

she knew the dance went well (more to do with the music and Kevin than her dancing)

It really put me off her so Im voting Natalie

Susannah was by far the better of the two.

Sorry, but the same could be said of the Artem show - he draws your attention to him and as a first rate dance he cannot help it, ditto Kevin.

The reduced training time is probably the biggest factor added to the assistant dancers.

On the night comparing QS to QS Sophie was better than Abbey IMO
Comparing Paso to Paso Kevin was miles better than Ashley but Susanna was about the same.
Comparing AS to AS Ben was better but only because of Fiona's dodgy lifts.

I agree! I wasn't blown away by Susanna's dancing at all. It just didn't convince me - posture, arms, facial expression etc. The music obviously helped a great deal. Thought I was the only one who didn't feel the magic.

I loved Susanna and Kevin's dance and I was watching Susanna more than Kevin. Didn't think much of Natalie's dance but that is partly due to the awful music.

I really didn't like Natalie's dance when I saw it first time - I thought maybe I had held her to too high a standard and was disappointed. I rewatched it though and realised it was pretty amazing. I still don't think she looks 100%, but I think it was fair she was joint top after seeing it.

Thought the paso was great on first viewing and equally great on second - problem is, on each viewing, I've only seen Susannah fan her skirt - that dance was all Kevin and credit to him, he was amazing but I never noticed his celeb at all. So while I think this was definitely the best dance of the night (even if I enjoyed Abby & Alijaz's QS most on the night) idk if I could compare Natalie and Susanna based on the two dances due to the different prominence they had had in the routines. If that makes any sense.

Oddly, if you had answered this last night, I would definitely have said Susanna but I have just rewatched Natalie's charleston and it was amazing, so much more in it than i had appreciated yesterday. I think it suffered last night because it followed on from something which was more flamboyant with dramatic music.
Susanna and Kevin were very entertaining and will probably get the public vote, but as a dance I would now say Natalie.

Must say that sequence is my favourite part of Carmen - So much going on your eye's literally don't know where to look.

The aged among us may remember Torvill and Dean's paso on ice which featured a similar hiatus, it's called milking the crowd. And good luck to them (and S&K) too I say.
