I'm no expert but I thought Natalie's Charleston was rather ponderous and slow at times and that flip looked labored

Anyone else thought the same?

I thought it was brilliant

Same here.

Digressing - the *general* level of negativity towards Natalie is a total mystery to me.

I didn't like any aspect of it at all.

I really loved it. Performed well with intricate footwork. The best dance of the night for sure.

She has not completed recovered and was labouring somewhat.

I thought it was a good dance, but the rendition of the song was really flat. I would like to have seen it danced to the original track.

I felt the same. Her legs seemed stiff at times, she was out of sync with Artem and I really didn't like it at all.
The flip definitely didn't look good.....perhaps she was being overly careful because of her back ? but all in all, it didn't work for me.

I agree. Totally disappointed with it.

It was a difficult dance, danced very well.

It did lose a bit of energy and wasnt' perfect - the lifts were a little tentative.

I was worried all the way through though because of their respective injuries.

And the music was disappointing.

A very, very good charleston though, nonetheless.

She had absolutely no chance tonight. If she danced brilliantly, it would have been "Ohhh...looks like her "injury" was nonsense." If she was awful, it would be "oh ho ho ho ho, LOOK who has fallen from grace"

There is a middle ground here. It's the kernal of a magnificent dance that didn't pop because there wasn't enough time in the microwave! If she finds herself in the bottom two (and the vitriol of this board suggest that its possible ((seriously, I think some people here should be taking the epidural)) ), then it's unlikely she will struggle to knock out Mark or Fiona.

If Suzanna keeps on her trajectory, I think she and Natalie could produce a really *spectacular* final with some magnificent dancing. And, aside from all of what appears to be "politics" about the show, great dancing is what most of us are here for!

Lacked energy and bounce for me

I thought she danced it well, although it looked like she went out of time at one section, but I feel that may have been more because of the music. I don't mind a modern twist but I just think the song itself was ill-suited and made it very difficult to keep in time with.

No it didn't tie in very well with the music and it lacked that extra bit of energy. Sophie is by far the best Charleston even Abbeys was better!

It was her worst dance, but it wasn't awful. The song contributed in my eyes. And the choreo, a bit, to be honest. And maybe the hair...

I was expecting more . I dint like it .

Sophie still has the best Charleston of this serie imo : The Best .

It was ok but I thought she was out of time on a couple of occasions and it just didn't grab me like the charlestons usually do. Shocked when the judges rated it so highly - what do I know

Was quite underwhelmed, and was expecting something stunning after seeing Derek Hough and partner using the same music in DWTS.

I loved it, I will have to rewatch to see if I can spot the lack of synchronicity that people mentionThough I will concede that the last back flip was a little careful (quite rightly so imo).

I think Artem was trying to be clever with the routine and it was good, but I think it lost some of the quirky movements that make the charleston fun.

It didn't deserve the same as Denise's this time last series... 4 nines would have been more appropriate... It just fell a bit flat!

I thought it was the dance of the evening; lift a bit stilted but very good. I don't think you always have to be flashy to be good, something simpler can be better.

Agree totally with the above - and I want Natalie to win!

I do wonder if the music put me off though. I felt confused throughout because before I was thinking "Natalie ...... Charleston ..... will be brilliant ......" and it just wasn't
