She sang well but her performance didn't wow me like her previous performances have.

Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe we are just expecting too much of her. She has to keep raising the bar, but perhaps she's gone as far as she can. I hope not, because I think overall she is by far the best choice to win this competition.

I dont think it was really her fault, the sound mix was terrible. Her mic seemed too low and the music too high in my opinion.

She's a cruise ship singer at best. But hey, at least she can stay she's toured the world?

That was the plan by the producers OP.....give her something a bit dated and cabaret in the hope that people will be underwhelmed.

Exactly, rendering a Beatles song unrecognisable because she had to SHOUT HER WAY THROUGH IT instead of respecting what a sweet little song it is.

It was meant to be Something, btw.

One of the producers tricks to bring down a performer is to

play the music higher than the performer for the tv audience

( voting public ) so that you can't hear the singer, whereas

the venue audience and the singer get the correct level.

When you go and look at the video of the performance you

will find it better than the tv.

That's definitely manageable by the sound engineers and very plausible. The guys over at Sofabet would be intrigued by your theory

I think it was a good performance but we are so used to her pulling it out of the bag every week we expect her to be better with every song.

Still my favorite to win.

She was awful - even worse than usual. Back to the cruise ship again, I think.

I was underwhelmed by the whole show and thought all the song choices were poor and not really suited to the singer.

Sam was given a song which restricts her from belting out her voice!

I am so used to Sam singing those high notes but last night she had to sing a different style, and perhaps a style which doesn't suit her.

Shes not in trouble this weekend, she will be through but she certainly wont have won this round of the competition!

I am a Sam Bailey fan i want her to win, it would be nice for an over 25 to win for a change!..

However I do sometimes feel as if The X Factor (or more to the point Simon Cowell) don't want her to win!

Shes being thrown to the lions, a source says shes topping the votes, then shes given a tough song, and all of a sudden, the likes of Nicholas are given a good song and he goes to sings the scottish national anthem?

I just think a Sam Bailey win for Cowell would be one of the worst possible outcomes for him!, hence them doing eveerything they can to get a Nicholas, Luke Friend or Rough Copy as a winner!
