Having given 10s to a couple of the other celebs, they couldn't then not give their darling less than 10.

Sophies Charleston was better and so was Abbey's tbh

It's very telling that on a night where Abbey and Sophie danced the Quickstep together, they were fairly equal and Abbey was given a much higher score, people are comparing to Natalie with a dance she performed over a month ago.

This isn't really a "poor Sophie" thread, it's a "ugh Natalie thread", albeit slightly more veiled than the other Natalie threads.

I thought Sophie was pretty brilliant tonight, but that doesn't erase the fact that her latin is akin to chili left in the fridge overnight (cold and lumpy), and her AT was like watching Brendan dance with a competent but clinical dentists chair.

Sorry but no that Charleston wasn't a shade on Sophie's grossly over marked.

I am assuming this is because they want to avoid a situation where Abbey is once more in the dance off. That's the only possible explanation I can think of to point out flaws in a routine and then mark it as a 10.

Sophie's was too neat and tidy. It was a good dance but not a good Charleston. Natalie's was much better! She got into character and Sophie hasn't been able to do that up to today. She looked like she was actually enjoying herself and not just a blank canvas!

Sophie's also looked like a Charleston, Natalie's routine was bordering on pretentious tosh. Not helped by the William track.

Sophie's charleston was by no means perfect, she caught the mood perfectly but there was an ugly lift and little swivel from either of them.

And how can a dance that looked nothing like Sophie's be a poor copy?

I get you like Sophie and Brendan, that's your prerogative but your opinion is just that, an opinion.

Im in the minority but I prefer Natalies because it was modern, cool, great song and brilliantly choerographed and danced.

I like Artem trying different music and choreography but I don't think it entirely worked tonight. It looked technically difficult to me and I don't think she executed it well. It was one of those dances where you could see a stark contrast between the style of the pro dancer and the gallant attempt of the celeb. Not a 10.

Why should Sophie feel gutted?

I get the impression that the celebs get on a lot better than their supporters on DS do

I doubt Sophie has the time to dwell on Natalie's performances, she probably wants to crack on with her own.

Luckily she has you to care enough for the both of you

I'm amazed that Artem could choreograph such a poor routine .
Natalie though a decent effort was way below what we've come to expect from her .

Abbey and Sophie's Charlestons far better and entertaining .

How Artem has the audacity and cheek to choreograph such a dangerous lift for Natalie at the end of their dance and then to fling her on the floor to finish, after all she's been through, beggars belief .

Whilst we're doing this then, OP, why not compare a few other dances?

Was Natalie's Cha-Cha-Cha, which was very good for the first week, only one point better than Sophie's, in which she was walked around the floor by Brendan for half of it? (the first half or so was pretty good, but it fell apart in the middle)

Was Ashley's American Smooth, which featured actual, proper dancing n' stuff, worse than Ben's, which was him observing a woman getting thrown around for ninety seconds?

Were Abbey and Patrick's Jives worse than Mark's?

No.

Either try to hide your dislike of Natalie a little more when making odd comparisons such as this, or choose dances that can actually be compared - such as Sophie and Abbey's Quicksteps this evening.

Give yourself a pat on the pack people see what they want to see based on their agenda imo.
